Unboxing and overview of small Emergency Radio (Asucway) with hand crank and solar panel.

This is a really small emergency radio that I have seen branded under a number of different names. This one claims to be second generation but I don't know what the difference is between this and the first generation, nor do I know if other branded versions of the same looking radio have different guts over all. I'll add some affiliate links below, so if you're considering buying one of these p...

at least demonstrate the product properly. this gimpy execution is lame. move your body like a man not a whimpering leftist freak
Great vid, thank you
Are the fumes toxic?
No. You have to hold a straw in your month and suck them directly in. Your lungs act as a filter. Do not and I repeat, open a window. Fresh air reacts really badly
Hi, at around minute 4:22 of this video, I would do the opposite of what you’re saying. I put the plastic collar in first like you said and then the metal part. But when I tried to remove it, I couldn’t get it out with my hands. I had to use pillars to remove the plastic collar because it was stuck really hard in there. Looking at it closer, I took the metal part with the thread down, and placed the plastic collar into the metal part from the top. When I tried to remove it the next time, it came off super easy. I’ve left it like this since then and it works perfectly. Thanks for your video, it really helped me a lot and I’m now really enjoying my tripod because of your video. Mark
your 1 viewer has multiplied to 20k well done
I absolutely love this tripod. I use it extensively for our other channel @yardcoach, but thank you for sharing the monopod setup. I had not yet figured that portion out and love that I can have the whole ball head on the monopod the way you set it up. Great video! Pamela
BOOM ! There it is 💪
You ever try to change the wire? There's no way to get it tight enough 🥺
just wondering - is this like toxic in any way or harmful and does it make a smell ?
يا رجال، ادور لك من زمان...
If the wire ever breaks order a roll of 32 gauge Nichrome (high heat resistant ) off amazon for around 8 bucks What ever you do don’t go to lowes and get the galvanized wires in the picture hanging section trust me it won’t work save yourself the headache, galvanized wire is a poor conductor & won’t heat up, you’ll hear the power supply chirping 🦗
Any suggestion on how to cut a straight line? Just drawing a line doesn't really work. I need a way to secure the foam so it won't move around resulting in wavy cuts.
I would have thrown the extra wire out if I hadn't watched your video. Thanks for that. See... you had more than one viewer. Thanks for the time you put in to it. It was helpful to a lot of us!
And here I thought I’d be that “one person” 😜. Can i ask if you think this would be ok to use on other kinds of foam like floral, memory and craft foams?
Could you cut cheese with it or butter???
I’m so glad I found you make it look so simple
the "1 person" says Hi back!
Thanks so much for this video! I purchased a different brand one although, besides the colour, it appears identical… even the instructions!! I didn’t know which tip was which so was searching for some guidance and, thank you, I have now found it. 😀
Can you take photos in portrait with this tripod?
how do you think this would work on foamboard? (like the thick poster board?)
Ja GS. Galatasaray. 🙂
Thank you,I'm looking at buying a similar one in the UK and your video helped me affirm that it's the right tool for what I need
Awesome review, thanks!
You are welcome, and thank you for watching!
is it suitable for travel and carrying around? or is it too big?
preety price i got mind 12o dollars
It is quite good for carrying around. The weight is rather minimal considering it's not carbon fiber and it folds up to a manageable size. There are smaller travel tripods available, but any that I've had were too small for me to want to use full time, whereas this one can serve as both a travel tripod and and everyday tripod. If that makes sense. As for travel- for me, yes, I'm fine with it for travel. It fits in my carry-on luggage and, as previously implied, I'm not super keen on the REALLY small travel tripods, but I don't want to say anything disparaging about them. I just prefer a beefier tripod and I don't usually pack a great deal of items in my bag, so I'm not super concerned about bag space. It is about as girthy as a loaf of bread, if that helps you.
Will this work on thick foam blocks which are dense foam block 3 inch thick?
Like yoga blocks? It may, but it would likely cut very slowly and would probably require the thin wire. Personally, I would choose a different tool for that job. Winons makes a higher powered hot knife that might work, but I haven't tried it so I can't say for sure.
Is that cum on your t-shirt? 🤣
They didnt send me extra wire what should i do?
I hope you contacted them about it. Then again, the extra wire is really difficult to see; it's just a very small couple of wraps and is very thin wire. I didn't see mine until I knocked my box over and it fell to the floor. I'm unsure what type of wire is used for this, but I don't think it would be difficult to figure out and considering how thin it is, would probably be rather inexpensive. But don't take my word for it.

Thanks so very much for the information it was very helpful using it fo cut styrofoam for some paper flower Thanks for sharing !! I just purchase mind from Amazon also ❤️😀❤️
I'm glad it worked out for you! Sounds like you're doing some art projects, so I hope you're steady craftin' and that this tool continues to come in handy for you!
I could make those for free... Just give me a guitar string, your tv remote, some pipe maybe, and your coat hanger.
I believe you and would love to see it if you decided to do it!
@@thegentlemanscalawag2273 I've ever made one back when I'm sitting at Elementary School, it made a hole on my pants backpocket because l put it in my pants pocket and decided to sit on it
Thanks for watching my video! I must admit, another reviewer covered a lot that I left out, so check out this young man's review as well- ruclips.net/video/XBnuppummqs/видео.html&ab_channel=AnthonyH Gotta give credit where credit is due.
As a 60yr old......if stuff like that bothers people that much, stay home. This is more a tent/campsite kit, so be happy. If your hiking out go ULTRALIGHT, and this isn't what you want anyways.
Good point. Either of these are quite nice for day hikes and picnics, but I assume most dedicated weight weenies would probably already have something lighter that the like better.
show us how sharp it is
Thanks brother needed that
You are very welcome!
Thank you for the info. Very helpful
And thank you for watching. Glad I could provide any help.
Thanks for this! I ordered this cutter when I decided it was time to make my own halloween tombstones this year. I've never tried using any sort of tool like this, so your video was exactly what I needed.
Great, thank you very much for saying that! This is the entire reason I do these reviews- to help people make informed purchases. I hope the tombstones you're making come out great!
Thanks for the video. I need to cut pink 1inch thik from HD, do you thinks it will make it? I there are about 15% bas reviews in amazon. I hope you can share your experiece , thanks again!!
I can't tell you either way if it will work on the particular foam you're utilizing, but what I can tell you is my experience- The highest density foam I have cut has been the foam floor tiles that are commonly used in garages and children's play areas. You know, the ones that link together like a puzzle. Mine are 3/8 " thick. I was able to cut it and it as easiest with the wire rather than the probe stye tips, but was very slow going. If you don't mind going slowly and need a clean cut, this works pretty well since it doesn't get so hot that it melts the foam beyond the cut, but requires patience and isn't what I would choose for a large job. I hope this helps.
@@thegentlemanscalawag2273 thanks for sharing your experience !!!
@@alexherrera3918 No problem, Alex. Thanks for your inquiry. If you use one of these on your project I'd be interested in hearing how it worked for you.
@@thegentlemanscalawag2273 , i do small foam planes and planning to build bigger onces. I decided to use a cutter with more watts (24watts), with a variables power supply . I will share what i find. tks
@@alexherrera3918 dude, that sounds fun! I used to love foam planes when I was a kid. Had a bunch of little ones and had one with a 4' wingspan that I broke the the same day I got it, but the hour I spent flying it was a ton of fun! Had I stopped when the wind picked up like I should have, perhaps it wouldn't have met it's demise. I think the variable power supply is a good idea. Versatility is valuable. If you happen to post any videos of you making your planes lmk and I'll gladly watch.
Thank you for the video. Tell me please , is it able to cut dense foam?
I don't currently have any dense foam on hand to try it on, unfortunately. At least, I don't think I do. I'll take a look around and see if I can scrounge anything up and try to remember to get back to you. Since I didn't realize it wasn't designed to do all of the things I wanted it to such as cutting paracord, I'm thinking about grabbing their other hot knife as well which is much higher temp. If that's the case, I'll do another video review of the other knife along with a comparison video of the two.
@@thegentlemanscalawag2273 оk thanks. I will wait for a new review
@@MrTaron-yh5tm I found a yoga mat/sleep pad type of thing and a piece of foam garage floor panels and the wire was the only tool that would cut, and even that was very slow. I would say this is for foam that isn't so dense, and Winons makes a higher temp hot knive that would be better for the more dense foam.
@@thegentlemanscalawag2273 If you do a new review I will wait. In any case, Thanks for the creeping information and for the review.
