Thank you so much. The sound comes from the VST pianoteq 8. I record the video on my phone whilst playing into my DAW. I render out the piano track as a WAV file then use video editing software to blend the audio mix with the video ( I don't use the sound off the video recording, this is muted) so I get a clean sound

Thanks for the reply. And while you were playing, where was the audio coming from? (I notice in the video you are not wearing headphones). Was it coming from the speakers connected to the computer? One last question: Do you know your piano is a P125 or a P125A? The model name and serial number are written on the label attached to the bottom of the keyboard. Thank you so much@@eamonnkarran

@@raulaudiovisual The P125 and the P125A are the same keyboard its just that the "A" is the white colored one. I assume he is hearing the audio through the speakers connect to his computer. The DAW software is recording all the audio and he uses that file to sync with the video so he has the best quality audio.

@@eamonnkarran I'm not using any DAW. Just the P515 connected to the PC through USB. Also, I find your sound much much better than what comes out of my Pianoteq, and I don't understand why. Did you use any preamp, audio interface or something? What's your setup, please? Your Pianoteq sounds just wow!

@@MaxRiley I have the same problem with Pianoteq sounding not as good as in some videos. It sounds worst when I play it live and a bit better when I play back a recording. Do you use speakers or headphones? Do you use the same sound system for listening to this RUclips video as for playing live with Pianoteq yourself? Something that I think is also very important (if you use speakers) are the room acoustics. If there’s too much natural reverb then it won’t sound as good as with less reverb. Maybe it’s also because of the playing style (@eamonnkarran plays really well in my opinion) which also might be influenced by the keyboard/stage piano and the velocity curve. I read several times that some people had to run through the calibration process for the velocity curve quite often and that they finally found a velocity curve that works. These are just some thoughts, I hope that it will help. Other than that I’m still trying to make Pianoteq sound better myself. I use a KAWAI MP10 and I also used the standalone version at the beginning, now I use it as a plug-in in Cubasis (mobile version of Cubase) on my phone. And I think that I probably haven’t found a good velocity curve myself yet. Playing my acoustic upright piano is still way more comfortable for me (and the real piano also seems to have more resonance, at least the sound duration is longer but clean at the same time) so I will experiment with the velocity curve in Pianoteq more and maybe try some settings like blooming and similar things. I will also try to play with headphones instead of speakers but the speakers are not the only problem for me for sure.
