I sing alto in church choir, was second chair alto in state choir years ago. Having a relatively decent voice the choir director of my church always places me next to the ladies with the worst voices and she tells me to "out sing" them since most small church choirs don't have tryouts, anyone can join. I don't mean to sound like I have a big head because I believe that my voice is a gift from God that I was born with, it's not something to feel "better than" about anymore than anyone else enjoys doing whatever they were gifted to do. But it can get a bit nerve wracking to hear off key voices right in your ear while trying your best to stay in key. Maddening I'm afraid. Some of these comments are hilarious 😅

The threesome " song and dance " number was so silly looking 🤪!!! Had they just stood still and sang His praise, it wouldn't have been too bad. The UNDOUBTEDLY "Pentecostal " lady screaming in the mic ,I liked ! Janis Joplin made a career singing that way ! She got down on it ,and she was honestly praising the LORD !!!👌👍

We had a sweet old guy that would turn his hearing aid off when the organist's wife sang solos. Pastor said she sounded like a cat that had gotten its tail stepped on, but he didn't have the heart to say anything.
