Jerry 14 (NNVT-4) Night Vision
Please note that there is a loss of definition through the night vision device when filming with the S21. In reality the footage looks more crisp and is less blown out. Overall very impressive for an entry level Gen 2+ unit in the Canadian market.

Thank you so much for your video! The J-14 is my first NVG, and the ocular lens was so tight that I thought it didn’t move and that I was stuck with that blurry image when my day cap was off. Your video shows you moving it, so I put some extra elbow grease to turn it, and *bamb*! Now, I finally see the true capability of night vision since I can focus the image!
Anyone around Southern Alberta with one of these?. Id really to see a pair. And meet some same mind set people
For a handheld illuminator I opted for the kaidomain 18650 6p body with the 7w 5 chip drop in its insanely bright for a nvg handheld light
My brother in Christ 3k + for Gen II tubes is not good. They were marketed ~2.1k on release. I just snagged a Elbit WP for 3.2k…that has nothing to do with the market & considering those specs…you got ‘got’
Canadian market and high demand will do a lot to the price of a unit.
These are still $2100 USD anywhere I’ve seen them sold. The video poster is talking Canadian dollars.
You should've just got the pvs-14 version for a few hundred dollars more for the better glass and standardize components.
This is lighter and is thermal clip on upgradable. Also comes with an aluminum j arm, which is like another $200 saved.
@bigx5murf the plan was to get the thermal in the future, but I'd like to see the technology mature before investing.
Would love to see more footage under dark nights in rural areas. Or maybe indoors in low light conditions to see the limitations.
Thanks for this. Very interested in a follow up vid, mostly on what you DON'T like about them. (I'm pretty sold on the Jerry31's.) 😁👍🏽
Super helpful ! I was wondering how they preformed in a rural setting.
Pretty darned good. Even when it's "can't see your hand in front of you're face" dark the unit will amplify enough light to make navigation possible. The biggest issue is halos. House or car lights tend to be really bad as they will obscure a good bit of detail.
That's the glass not so much the tubes switching the lens with Carson's could help alot
Welcome to the night vision community in Canada.
Looks like a clean tube 👍
Couple of blems, but you don't even notice them in an active environment. Noticing a few shortcomings the more I use it and I will be reporting on them when I have a chance. Still happy with the purchase though.
@@nocturnalnorthernerwow! They must be very small pepper spots because I can’t see anything. The last tube I had, had a fat spot in zone 2 that you could see in all conditions. It drove me crazy but I’m weird like that.
why does it come with blems?@@nocturnalnortherner
@0x187 part of the manufacturing process as far as I am aware. All tubes will come with some (visibility will be more/less obvious depending on the quality which may be reflected by price).
You have no idea how much your video about J 14 is helping me to make decisions into buying J 31. Thank alot
Lol same
@@angryearl already ordered mine from Infiray. Cant wait to get my hands on this
@@harizdean3448how are they?
Same here haha
