RUST: Electric furnace placement within triangle foundation
Просмотров 44821 день назад
This video shows you how to position three furnaces on a triangular foundation, followed by placing another three on the shelf above. It also explains how to seal them in and set them to automatically turn on and off as needed. This circuit features a revised detection system, as the previous one was overly complicated and caused the furnace to turn off too early, leaving uncooked ore inside.
Utilising the "Fully Charged" connection on a battery to switch charging to seconday a battery

Using the new "Fully Charged" connection on batteries to switch to charging a secondary battery. I'd normally use this in conjunction with the NiH Core. This is useful when you have a primary battery supplying a constant level of power, while a secondary battery is used intermittently for tasks such as cooking ore. I have also included my attempt to explain the interaction between the Branch an...

you had me with that wire management
Thank you, having coloured wires has helped.
"Intergrated" 😂
Sorry, that made me chuckle, especially with the "Translate to English" underneath. I'm fairly sure "Intergrating" is correct, as it's showing you how to "intergate" it into the pod, rather than show you it already "intergated" into it. The link for building the turret are in the description. Thank you for helping cheer up my day. :)
That is mint i am going to do this on a base 1000%
Thank you, I'm glad I've been of some help.
Interesting concept, love how your builds are modular. Look forward to more
Glad you like them!
Nice
Thanks
Great tutorial again, thanks for the video 😃
Thank you
Thank you 🎉
Thank you too.
Nice, gonna give it a try
Let me know how it goes and if you have any qestions, just drop me a comment. Thank you.
Thank you for the tutorial
You’re welcome and Merry Christmas 🎄 😊
So is it possible to have a switch in core and at the exit of the base?
Yes, you could put two of the first lock down switches, one in core and one at each of your entances. If you also link the first switch to rust+ you can also lock the base down if you've already logged of, or Rust has crashed.
@@The_Gratnak As a solo I would be the teammate that forget to close doors 😂 So thanks and keep up the good work 👊
Thank you for the tutorial
You’re welcome 😊
love you
Thanks for the comment, I'll be trying to find the time today to show this being intergrated into the two turret build I've previously posted. ruclips.net/video/OqgPjR1xo5o/видео.html
thank you again grat great work
Thanks again!
Yes g!!!! ❤ it’s ting 🎉
Hi Ting, we miss UKVR 🤗
bros voice is silky smooth and so calm nonchalant
Thank you! I have never thought of my voice in that way. In fact, until I started doing these recordings, I had always hated hearing my own voice. 🙂
Nah bro dont think that i think its calm & relaxing and it makes it easier to watch the video other then being crazy energetic, its nice and calm
Thank you! 🤗
Of course man
Cheers mate thanks again 💯🙏
No problem.
Lookin good!
Thank you.
nice vid🙌
Thank you 🤩
Gratnaks school of electricity delivers once again
Thank you @steksons.
@@The_GratnakVery cool stuff. I re-watched this and wondering now what are the normal use cases when this is practical and favorable to do?
@steksons sorry for the delay in replying. I'd consider putting this within a Nih switch, charging a secondary battery that doesn't have a constant flow out (supplying something like the Automatic Electric Furnaces), with the possibility of automatically swapping to a back up battery if the main is destroyed. I'll post an example of this, tomorrow, as a rustrician link in here and in the main description. Thank you for bringing this up.
Very useful thank you once again 🎉
My pleasure 😊
Memory cells always confused me. Now I totes understand how they work. Thanks!
Happy to help!
Subbed! Great video!🎉🎉🎉
Thank you for subscribing, it is greatly appreciated. :)
@@The_Gratnak all good! I'm trying too! I need to work on my editing xD
I can relate; they were just beginning to introduce computers in schools when I was in my final year, and platforms like this were still a pipe dream. As a result, I am teaching myself editing. 😄
@@The_Gratnak haha my first introduction to gaming was a secondhand amstrad. You must be a few years older than me!
My first introduction into gaming would have been Star Trek on the Research Machines 380Z. I found a little article about it here; www.theregister.com/2013/05/03/antique_code_show_star_trek/
Thanks Very much!
No Problem, the wires charging the Backup battery and Main Battery are the wrong way around. I didn't notice until I had already posted.
Can u do turret pod with hbhf sensor next
I've got one request ahead of that, I'll see if I can do both tomorrow. Or Wednesday at the latest.
Great stuff very informative thank you
Looking good
Sorry for the delay, I Posted the wiring for use with four HBHF sensors, along with a delay on opening doors (to allow for turrets to power up fully). ruclips.net/video/9UPfDvBfNhs/видео.html
Can you just run the filter pass and fail options to a regular switch. How i do it. Never had an issue
Hi, I'll log in and double check. But I've sure I've had an issue with them turning off. I'll give it a test with one furnace and see if it does (could have been some dodgy dream I had, while having a Gratnap) and get back to you.
Hi, I just tried using one electric furnace, and it turned off while containing 1,884 uncooked ore. I would expect diminishing returns; the more furnaces you have connected to the circuit, the less likely this issue will occur. You have, however, made me consider the possibility of adding a few seconds of buffer to the signal instead of making it run for 3,300 seconds. I will need to look into this further.
2 conveyors. 1 to move to the furnaces. Wire the pass to the on portion of the switch. Second conveyor for removing from furnaces. Wire the fail to the off of the switch.
I did something similar, I connected the Filter Pass from both conveyors to an OR switch. However, this configuration failed after a few minutes because the conveyor responsible for removing the cooked metal (after the ore box had emptied) went into a fail state, causing both conveyors to shut down. By adding a buffer of one second, I believe this issue can be mitigated. Additionally, the more furnaces that are in operation, the less likely this failure will occur, or at least it will happen less frequently. Thank you for your feedback. I will review everything and get back to you, hopefully within the next hour or so. :)
Amazing and helpfull. But could you do how to do back up battery and wind turbine on turrets tutorial video? maybe someone else would find it helfull too just than me.
Thank you. That shouldn't be a problem, I'll do my best to sort one out tomorrow or the day after (Monday).
I've done that video for you and it's now up ruclips.net/video/tnruhz08AzU/видео.html
You don't need timers, you can use a memory switch. Use the pass filter to the set, and the fail on the outbound to the reset (fairly certain this is how I did it, running off memory). If you just use a single conveyor (to pull from and feed into the same box), you just use both signals from the same. My suggestion is pass the power thru the pass through on each conveyor and ending on the oven, that way you don't need to feed extra power for the signals to work
Hi, thank you for your input; it is greatly appreciated. I employed a similar method to the one you described; however, there is a risk of the furnaces shutting off while ore is still present in them. This is particularly likely to occur when operating with only a few furnaces. For this reason, I have included a timer to ensure that the furnaces remain on while they are only looking for frag, sulfur and HQM.
A turret a day, keeps the grubs away!
I have done a fresh video, with includes a basic option with fences, along with all the electrics needed (instead of spreading it over two videos) at ruclips.net/video/OqgPjR1xo5o/видео.html
Nice 👍
Thanks for the visit

Yay, thank you!

Thanks! Will do!
thank you i was confused how too do electrics these videos are really helping
I'm glad that I've been able to help.
Really helpful and easy to follow even for a noob
Awesome! But I do would have preferred a small preview in the first stage of the video.
Good point, I'll keep that in mind for the next video.
Awsome dude really helpful
Thank you! I hope to have a similar one ready for electric furnaces. I plan to post it today or tomorrow.
love it, thanks
Thank you. I would have used sounds from Tanya in Command & Conquer or Vasquez from Aliens with but I think RUclips would have thrown a wobbly if I had. Lol.

@@matthewlofthouse4028Thank you. ❤️
my god. this guy is the real thing!
Thank you. I'm currently working on a more fun one with turrets, I'm hoping to have it ready in a few day (maybe quicker if I'm not raided on the server I play on).
Good video! Your vocal audio is a bit low, and then it gets really low at around 1:10. Other than that very helpful!
Thank you. Unfortunately, I rushed the editing. I've only just started posting, and I don't think I can fix the sound and upload it without creating a new video. I will ensure that I take my time next time.
Spice approved!
Thank you.
i like your build however the roofs are too high and limit your sam from hitting helis that come in on the horizontal plane (sams will only hit helis above 15 degrees to horizon and can damage the roofs) ..it is better to use low walls instead of the roofs .i did even try to elevate the sam by placing bear skins on the triangle frames before placing the sam (i glitch facepunch has still not fixed that can be used to elevate sams and turrets to clear the low walls) but ths still did not elevate the sam to clear the roofs so went with low walls instead .other wise all good thanks for the diagram
Thank you for your input. I need to verify the bear skin trick with the shotgun trap, which lifts it above the level of the low wall. This allows you to remove the bear rugs while keeping the shotgun trap elevated. I attempted this a couple of months ago and thought it had been fixed, as the shotgun trap broke during that instance. I was hurrying to complete a cave build at the time, so it’s possible that something else caused the malfunction. I will certainly consider using low walls, in future builds.
@@The_Gratnak i stacked 3 bear rugs to elevate the sam this morning with no issue on my server once the sam was on it removed the rugs and it was fine but still not at a height to clear the edge of the roofs sadly .not sure on shotgun traps as have not made a trap base for a short min but a few months ago it worked ok for me
Thank you for checking on that. I will include it in a planned future build involving doors that open and close, depending on the state of turrets in a cave scenario.
good vid mate
Thanks 👍
this video was oddly soothing, you should make more! <3
I'm currently trying to decide whether to get some sleep in (before wipe) so I can do an all nighter... or doing another video where this links into a turret in a corridor, doors would open instead of close, closing the doors once the turret is destroyed.
I'll 100% be using this in all my future base's! Thank you for such an informative and clear video
Thank you.
I use those in my builds too!! 10/10 would recommend, but I like to use metal shop front in-between the turrets instead of a chain link fence
Thank you
Really cool build i will have too try this 🤘🎂🎉💯🇬🇧
I think I can show you a much simpler way to do this if you want, I use to build something similar back when fences protected turrets
I do have a more basic design, with fences and the turrets constantly on. I use these turret pods to stop a retreat as well. 😮
awesome brother
Thank you.
Thanks. A little tip if you dont want to go up and down as much is that you can use multiple wiring tools to set the wires as it doesnt get reset when u switch between the wiring tool
Brilliant suggestion.
Wait! You can color code your wiring?!
based
You've been able to do it for some time now. I generally don't bother though as I'm the only one in team that touches my wiring 😂
@@The_Gratnak Over 2k hours played and coming back a couple years later. Love this company that keeps giving us fantastic updates! Lots of learning and things to do!
Just to say, you can use passthrough on the door controllers - you don't need the extra branches.
True, but the one problem with that is if a garage door is taken out others would close
love the wirring, kudos for that :) - while I normaly use a HBHF sensor square pod with 3 turrets in it, this looks intriquent :) - have you made a sketch of it on rustican ?
I'll sort one out for you and post it here.
