Prof. A. R. Mitra Sir, I am fortunate to be your student(1985-88 Batch) at Maharani's College, Bangalore (MACW then). One of the best lessons I learnt from you was that, to be affectionate and show lots of love and confidence with students. Sir, you honoured my wedding invite and attended for few minutes, despite it was your last day of your service as Principal at Maharani's college. Large number of people were awaiting at college, but you prioritised my invite and just to shower your blessings you had come. You just met my brother as it was too busy a time at the event, itseems you asked and took a spoonful of Kesaribath and told my brother, carry my wishes to her. And on enquiry you happen to say I am her teacher ಅ. ರಾ. ಮಿತ್ರ! Sir, when I got into your shoes, that is, when I took became a Lecturer in History and served for about 33 years, I never missed students wedding whenever an invite was extended. Sir, wherever you are, however you are, I only pray and continue to pray, may you live healthy and happy and continue to serve the society by sharing happiness to live healthy lives. Namaskara Sir.
