Homewood Suites by Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore, Tampa Florida
We stayed at Homewood Suites by Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore in Tampa Florida in July, 2024.
The hotel is conveniently located directly across from the Tampa Airport and across the road from the airport rental car drop off location.
The bed was comfy, the room was quiet and we slept well. There is a nice pool and the complimentary breakfast was really delicious.
The only negative to this location is the cleanliness is not really what I expect from the Hilton brand. If that's not an issue for you and there's a great rate to stay here, I'd say go for it. Otherwise, there are other hotels in the immediate area that might offer a cleaner room.
(Note: yes, I did call the thermostat a thermomet...

We spent a weekend on board the Disney Wish cruise ship out of Port Canaveral, Florida June 21, 2024. Tour of Stateroom 8044 begins a 2:38. We really enjoyed this forward room. We usually stay in aft rooms for the larger balconies, but I felt no movement, rocking, or sounds from above like I usually do in aft rooms. It was very peaceful!

We flew into the Orlando International Airport (MCO) and stayed at the Hyatt Regency the night before our Disney cruise on the Disney Wish. Is the transportation included?
Unfortunately, no. I don’t remember the exact cost but transportation was approximately $40.00-$50.00 per person each way.

Hello, were you on the earlier bus due to Castaway Club status/Concierge? We're cruising this November and already booked a night pre-cruise at the MCO Hyatt. However, since there are 11 of us (including a toddler under 2 yr), we're debating whether to get private transport to the port or pay $45 per person for DCL bus. My immediate family and I are Silver but the rest of our group are all 1st timers with DCL. Hoping to get to the port as early as possible but not sure with a lower CC status if going on the DCL bus is the safer bet? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Yes, we were on the first bus because of our Castaway Status. Even though we were the first to arrive at the port, we still had to wait to board the ship with everyone else. People that took Disney transportation were automatically assigned boarding group 3 or 4, so even people that left on the bus a few minutes after us boarded the ship the same time that we did when they arrived at the port.
Thank you for this video, I am staying there in September and taking the DCL transportation to Port Canaveral did they check you in at the hotel or the port? I have heard conflicting information about that
They checked us in at the hotel before we boarded the bus. Once we got to the port, we just had to wait for our boarding group to be called.

It was good! We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom had an exhaust fan so that was nice, not many hotel bathrooms have that.

Great job on the room tour. When I visited the casino a couple of years ago, I wondered what the rooms were like. I stayed at the Hyatt Place hotel down the down near the beach, which was comfy and nice.

As I sit here snackin on some peanuts this is the coolest video. Thank You. I Love the veggies at 16:00 prize winning fruits and vegetables 😃That music keeps it real. 1st time here Great Job. I really enjoyed that. stay away from all of that deep fried fair foods. Peanuts are a nutrient packed protein that tops all junk food. I seen a deep fried peanutbutter and jelly sandwich for $20.00 on another video. quite shocking😮 Stay healthy and thanks again.video gets a 10
awesome video! how did you find the room throughout the sailing? i’ve heard mixed reviews about the shaking and ship noises, but still considering booking this room for an upcoming adventure!
We had no issues with shaking or ship noises. Everything in the room was in great working condition throughout the trip. I prefer aft rooms and I’d book this room again if it were available.
Do you have any more photos or videos of this room?
I have another of the verandah I’ll try to post soon but none of the room.

It's beautiful but terrifying. I cannot imagine being in a place where the water is that deep and no land is in sight. It's literally the stuff of dreams AND nightmares.

Wow. So beautiful. How far was nugget falls from the cruise port?
Nugget Falls was a short, easy hike at Mendenhall Glacier. We booked a Glacier/Whale Watching excursion through Disney that took us there by bus. It was about a 30 minute bus ride from the port and there are restrooms available at the visitor center when you arrive. We had less than an hour at Mendenhall Glacier before we had to leave for the whale watching tour. On our next visit we'll spend more time at Mendenhall Glacier. It was so beautiful and there were more trails we wanted to try.

Thank you for this great video! We want to do this as our first Disney cruise. It was really helpful. Did you have a hard time getting the excursions you wanted when it was your turn to book?
The Wonder and Fantasy are our favorite Disney cruise ships. This was the first 2023 Alaskan sailing in May so it was early in the season and we had amazing weather. We're Platinum Disney cruisers, so we can book excursions 120 days prior to sailing. However, even if we weren't platinum, almost every excursion was available, nothing that we were interested in sold out and there were excursions available to book even once on board the ship.
