Sorry I don’t know much about parrots convicts I had a breeding pair but took them to my lfs if your convict and parrot did have babies they are just hybrids no specific name actually I believe a polar blue convict are cross between convict and parrots

@@cichlids253 Yes, there was a few mollies in there too, they are beautiful fish, two little ones look like parrot , my blood parrot looked exactly like them when I got her, she was black and grey, she's pure orange now, thanks for your response 🥰

If your talking about the tank lol it’s not gonna explode it’s 1/2 inch acrylic all the way around and top it has foam on the bottom of the tank and the plywood it rests on is 3/4 inch oak plywood the stand underneath that is fully supported underneath and is a made for acrylic

The acrylic is 3/8” thick correct? Any bowing in front panel? Some say it’s to thin for 180.

Yup this fish is basically the building block of the flowerhorn fish this guy is easily the most aggressive fish I’ve ever kept

@@cichlids253 i had a bad gene flowerhorn a while back , grew super slow and overall acted really wierd, would bully other fish in my 100g but was a coward in the 190gallon with other fish , much rather get a red devil / midas / this one instead of a flowerhorn next time , maybe even a jag!

@@barafisk9633 Red Devils are nice Midas too just got jags and they are not aggressive at all maybe I got weak ones lol

@@cichlids253 was at a fish shop yesterday here in sweden, this crazy guy had like 10 + dovis ( decent sized ones 8-14 incheers ) , and like 10 jags , i think the biggest jag was about 14 + inches , he had them in a tank with frontosas tough ... the frontosas were super dark and had a bunch of bite markings... really sad to see really wanted to pick up the frontosas but the owner was IMO pretty greedy and wanted like 100 dollars per big frontosa in that tank they were about 12 inches so :/

There is two type that look the same btw. I two green terror beautiful but aggressive.

thank you , congrats on your fish you will find they are a awesome fish to keep always keep you on your toes . i usually feed 1 or 2 times a day depends really how much time i have during the day water changes are 50 percent every week

Thanks Jef B he did have one for a while had batches of fry the past two years but just too much stress on him he is a gentle giant really unless im in the room ha . i actually got rid of the female because she was attacking him

interesting. It seems that usually the makes are aggressive. Well that is cool that you cared enough to let him have that calm alone time.

Jef B he was only not aggressive to the female any other fish i have ever put in with him he has tried to kill .

That sounds about right. I guess sometimes finding the right mate isn't JUST about keeping the make at bay.
