They're amazing if you have no idea how a true spray system is supposed to operate and finish. You can't afford to compare the two so the cheaper available option will suffice. But there's a MASSIVE gap between the two.

You could've used two 2000 or 3000 grit works better than those scrub pads. When I get a run, it's easier when it's on flat surfaces, but even on the side. I flood it out that way, it's easier to what sand it out versus having those little drip lines to sand, those are a pain in a butt. So put extra clear on when you get a run and it's call flooding, works great and sometimes you hardly have to sand it. 1 day I painted something little runs. I hated sanding, so the next time that happened, I said what the heck and I flooded that puppy😬 but you know what I've found that works way easier, then sanding those little runs. Causing more headaches then any of us ever want lol.

I bought a gravity spray gun from Harbor Freight over 10 yrs ago to stain 3 shuttered doors. I buy my wife a potting table for Mothers Day recently and she doesn't like the color. So I go fish that gravity spray gun from the shed and watch RUclips videos spraying latex paint with my paint gun. My wife's potting table looks fantastic and good enough to eat hitting it with the color "Seaweed Salad". Now I'm all fired up and am lining up around 3 more painting projects. The gravity fed spray guns in my opinion are real easy to clean. Just sharing.

What size air compressor did you use?

Hi Mike, great video. I have a couple of questions if I may. What size nozzle were you using and did you have to thin the paint(s) in any way? The finish looked great, but I get runs and suspect I am trying to setup as if I were doing auto paint. My gun is very similar with either a 1.4 or 1.7 tips. Thanks in advance.

I went on to the harbor freight website and I wasn't able to find that spray gun at all. Thay have about 20 different options, but not one that looks like yours...... weirdly enough.

Well explained but, you have to change the exhaust manifold or sand it down. Otherwise it will warp again very quickly.

I have a 2003 F 150 w 135,000 miles fair shape…with the 4.6 liter ( NOT the 5.4)…is an extra cab, 4x4 MANUAL Trans, with manual shift into 2h/4h/4L…2003 was the last year that you could get a MANUAL trans in this model… so to me the truck is very special…I’m an old school manual trans guy..yes the new autos with torque lock up are nicer than they used to be… but … a clutch, a throw out bearing and a slave cylinder …nothing else wears out if you treat a manual right… It needs paint and I can’t stand the thought of MAACO promising quality work but then NOT doing the basics like really de-greasing the truck and tacking between every coat… My dad used to say if it’s gonna get done wrong, you might as well do it wrong yourself. SO…how much material did you use… sealer ?…Base ?…clear? Thank you I would rather take four days to do it myself… than pay MAACO $2500 for something I could do as well.

If that green scuff pad is from the grocery store you definitely used the wrong kind. The automotive ones are gray, red, or white. They all have a different grade of grit. Nice job on the truck though 👍

They say that you can use challenger manifold or hellcat ones and this dont happen, but they told me headers its the same deal they fail at 30k miles?

Definitely have to machine stock headers if you use them. If not they will break the bolts again very soon. I thought everyone knew this.

I can’t tell if the gasket is a new item being added or replaced. Once you’ve done the repair, is it good forever or is this something that needs to be checked out every couple years?

Man i hate doing this job. Makes me feel sick doing it. I have done this 6 times on gen 3 and absolutely hate it.

I just completed the drivers side on my 2009 5.7L, sanded the old manifold flat to take the warp out and reattached it with remflex gasket. I had to laugh at your comment about it sucking on the drivers side as you were drilling the bolts out, it was kind of a bitch for sure. Props to the drilling the bolts out. I gave welding a try and it worked great. Subbed!

My mistake it actually looks like you got rid of the 4stroke transaxle and built your own linkage and mounting for a live axle. what did you do with the old transaxle? sell it?

great job bro! hey could you tell me what size were the bearing you used for the rear axle where the axle goes into the tubular frame? Im thinking of removing my spicer trans on my ezgo and adding a sprocket to the stock axle ....
