I hate when it just decides to stay in or around whatever room you're in. Makes it damn difficult to slip away when it just wants to pace back and forth round the room because the controller knows Im there and tells it to stay there and search.

This game is phenomenal and I love it to death!

I know it’s probably as simple as an adrenaline rush, but whenever I’m playing a horror game and I’m right by an exit/safe spot, I’m both feeling a rush of relief and a rush of absolute fear of something coming in last minute and killing me. I can’t describe the feeling but it makes me clench every muscle in my body and makes my fingers stumble with my controller or keyboard, and it happened CONSTANTLY in this game.

That Hospital was the worst part in whole game

One of the most scary thing is how quickly it change behavior so radically. It stalks slowly but as soon as it sees you it gets rabid and hunts you down and with those screeches and loud as fuck foot stomps.

What makes the alien so scary is how fast it can run. The fast stomping footsteps are terrifying

Вам повезло, что чужой не заметил вас под столом. Прямо не знаю, алгоритм видимо неправильно сработал, либо сложность низкая. Я играл на высоком уровне сложности, мне чужой такого не прощал. Иногда находил меня даже тогда, когда я думал, что уже в безопасности. Просто вопреки обычному поведению он меня находил, когда я вроде тихо сидел. Это мне нравилось. Какая-то изюминка, непредсказуемость. Иногда, пусть и не часто, он меня и под столами находил без особого труда.

the second clip shows an exploit. The alien clearly was able to see him hiding under the two desks. The keyword here being the two desks. He was hiding below the one that is farther, so the AI is not able to execute the kill animation. It is a really comon explot in most game like this. The enemy needs you to be in a specific set of conditions for the kill to occur, you being relatively close to it being one

The only horror characters I've been scared of are fnaf animatronics, the ring girl, killer croc from Arkham asylum, and the xenomorph from the alien game.

It not instantly going under the table and killing you really breaks the game

On nightmare mode it acts as if it were the real thing. Much smarter than you, can track you down with one sound and never give up. If you manage to escape to a hiding spot, it will let you go on purpose like a cat playing with its food. It knows you’re there, but it’s almost like it allows you to live just out of entertainment.
