[…] kill them one by one and do not spare a single one of them." The sermon was streamed live on the Facebook page of the Islamic Center of Lafayette, which gave no indication as to the identity of the imam. However, online research suggests that the imam was Mohamad El-Saleh, whom according to news reports, represented the Islamic Center at a November 7, 2023 interfaith prayer for peace in the Middle East along with Christian and Jewish faith leaders and government officials at the Lafayette city hall. The Islamic Center of Lafayette has ties to the Muslim Students Association of the University of Lafayette, and is located near the University of Louisiana, Lafayette campus. (MEMRI . org)

Lake Charles suck. There’s absolutely nothing to do there. The city was hit by hurricanes and is largely underdeveloped in the south of town. It’s a sad sight to see

My family is from Lafayette. It's a total 💩 hole!!! Don't listen to this dude!!! Crime, dope, whores!!! Crooked politicians!!! Its a little New Orleans!!! Don't be fooled!! No infrastructure what so ever. Redlights every 50ft!!! Traffic is awful!!! Thelist goes on in on!!💩☠️👹💯

I’m going to say, I don’t think you’re originally from the area and that is strictly due to how you pronounce Abshire. I’m in St. Martin parish and I believe my family near Nola pronounces it the way you do. One thing that I would love to have known before purchasing is the water quality issues in the suburbs. Our water has been so bad that I developed a chronic skin condition that has no cure. It’s so contaminated that we have to replace appliances, it’s hard to get a whole house filter system because within a few hours, they become blocked. We have a lawsuit against the company, but it’s been this bad for over 20 years. If we had the option to move, I wouldn’t look back. I hold a lot of anger for thinking that this was where I wanted to live definitely research the water supply and see how they have been graded. This is mostly in towns not in Lafayette parish.

Thank you for your video, but mentioning the crime is like mentioning the plane could go down when a loved one tells you they are going to fly to you. It’s unnecessary since every major city has some level of crime. The audacity to recognize the injustice and gentrification that has happened to NOLA and leave out who is repopulating and pricing up the area that so many Black people built to create but can no longer afford. What else other than crime did the influx of population bring after NOLA? Surely the increase in population improved property values, the economy overall, culture, etc. WHY did the crime in Lafayette increase? What’s the root other than Black people moved there? Did hypervigilence go up and thus reports went up? NOLA Black disenfranchised people deserve so much more.
