Mad Plaider
США
Добавлен 12 июн 2023
Hello and welcome to Mad Plaider! I built a tiny 10'x16' A-Frame cabin in 2018 and I finally decided to share it with everyone! I started this channel to hopefully inspire others to build a cabin or start enjoying the cabin lifestyle. The cabin is in the Pennsylvania Wilds near where Cook Forest State Park and the Allegheny National Forest come together. The cabin has a "life-size" paint by number moose on the inside and also has a flip open roof section. I will be sharing different activities that we do at the cabin, including hiking, chopping wood, unimpressive camp style cooking and lots of coffee and hanging by the fire with my dog S'mores!! Maybe some camp crafts, lego building and whatever else we decide to do when we are at the cabin. We also enjoy visiting the PA state parks across the state and camping in my 13' Scamp trailer. I hope you enjoy your time here and feel free to ask any questions you may have about the cabin or anything else and I will do my best to help.
Tiny A-Frame Cabin Mini Tour

Another beautiful Fall weekend spent at the cabin for the opening day of the 2024 Pennsylvania pheasant season. We lucked out and got one rooster and missed a second rooster. This is our 8th pheasant season together and there's nothing I'd rather be doing than spending time in the woods with my best girl S'mores! Thanks for joining us!! 00:00 Intro 00:45 In the field 09:52 Back to the cabin 15:...

Finished the firewood rack at the cabin! Well almost haha. I still need to pick up a few 2x4's to finish up the floor and then it's ready for some wood stacking! It was just a perfect Fall weekend at the cabin. A little bit of work and a little bit of relaxing. I even decided to build a fire in the wood stove Sunday morning. 00:00 Intro 04:26 Firewood Rack Day 1 10:28 Dinner Break 11:03 Sunday ...

Welcome to Camp Hollow Stump, where it's always Cabin Season! We spent another beautiful late Summer weekend at the cabin and I finally got around to building a proper firewood rack. Summer Day at my A-Frame Cabin with my Dog S'mores - Pudgy Pie Disaster
Просмотров 1,2 тыс.3 месяца назад
Spent a beautiful, cool Summer day at my A-frame cabin doing chores and relaxing with my dog S'mores. Started out the day with camp coffee and a Pudgy Pie breakfast which didn't quite go as planned and ended in a disaster! Of course I couldn't go without showing you my flea market find of the day. One of my favorites! Also did my traditional "Christmas in July" annual burning of the Christmas t...

This is pretty dang cool
Looks nice!! I’d have a window or 2 that open then it’d just be a “deer blind” and the state couldnt tax you to death
Ego trippin
Put a futon in there and use the little recess area where your chair is for your kitchen...❤
It's a beautiful build. Has all the accoutrements along with electricity.
Why such a big deck?
Like the pictures.
Question for you: I noticed that you’re venting the fireplace sideways instead of straight up. I’ve done a lot of research and poking around on Reddit and pretty much everyone says you definitely want to go straight up for safety reasons. Was just curious what your take was and why you went sideways? Reason I’m asking is I want to put one into an addition we added, but it would be ideal if it went sideways, but I tabled it after doing some research.
Your dog names Smores ! Love it, we have a Snickerdoodle “snickers” for short.
Now I wonder whether you might have compensated for the slanted wall by slanting the projected image of the paint-by-numbers. What do you reckon?!
I love it!
Love it❤
Pretty cool man cave 😊
I see Smokey the Bear 🐻
Unbelievably cool
Thanks!
Awesome!! Incredible little place man!!
О! Старая алюминевая раскладушка😊
All you need is a big Tupperware container to take a bath in, your knees stick out but its manageable and feels great. As long as you're umder 5'8" lol
Haha interesting!
Nice man. Enjoy!
Thank you!
Kitchen and bathroom in the same room. That's just gross. Who wants to eat where you crap ?
Nice subscribed...Central Oregon
Thanks!
Thanks for the tour! It’s a great design and you did a nice job with all the details. I’ll be interested to see how the addition turns out. 👍🏻
Thank you and thanks for watching! What I have in mind will definitely be a challenge. Probably better off starting over haha
That is awesome first time watching
Thank you and glad you like it!
Too cute. Very sweet.
Thanks so much!
Awesome 👍😎
Thank you!
Un gran diseño y buenas soluciones para tener de todo en esa cabaña 👍
Thank you!
That fan is a good idea
It definitely helps!
Very nice
Thanks!
Nice!❤
Thank you!
Took 3 years for that u could build hotel that long
How long did it take you to build your cabin?
Absolutely perfect. The decor, colors, design choices are gorgeous❤
Thank you!
cool chimney but why not run the single wall straight up and out the peak so you get more heat captured?
Room, clearances, angle of the roof. And it gets plenty warm inside!
I smiled from start to finish of your previous video and had to watch this straight away. I love your cottage and hearing about your plans for expansion. Wonderful paint by numbers! Life is beautiful.
Love the moose!
Bruce the Moose haha. Thanks!
I really like this!! My dream is to one day build one.
Thank you! Hope you get there someday!
Im homeless myself i need one of these
What elevation are you at?
Уютный домик супер 😊
Thanks!
Nice man.
Thanks!
Love the moose
Thank you! He needs a second coat of paint!
I think it sucks
Excellent build. Smart location on the wood stove. I see so many cabins with the stove located right next to the door. And idiots trying to justify it citing thermodynamic principles that I cant find in any textbook. I'm not setting foot in a cabin where the stove is between my bed and the only exit. Dudes are foolish.
This is something I thought about when I do the addition and will no longer have an exit. I’ll have to lose some weight to fit through the window haha
You have a very nice sense of style. On the inside of that cabin, good job.
Thank you and thanks for watching!
I want to cook easily, poop easily, and sleep easily. Anything that allows that is fine by me. Just don't ask me to use a litter box and scoop my own poop. We don't even make cats do that.
Need blue print.
Don’t have one, sorry. I pretty much made it up as I went. There are plans for just the 8x10 with a flip up roof by Relax Shacks
The cabin is really smart and cool, the paintings and colors inside are really terrifying.😁
Glad you like the colors
Awesome brother. At first in the thumbnail I thought u got my idea..I have a similar plan, but where your poly is mine will be some of my solar panels, facing south. It appears you did a fantastic job on both design and build quality. Real Man rugged and Grown Girl pretty ;-) My man even has a matching coffee maker, well done sir. Very well done.😎👍
Haha couldn’t pass up the green coffee maker! Thanks for watching!
A's good for heavy snow storms. It would be great 5' off the ground & long eves for the mtns. Give hammocks a try. Couple big ol wolf spiders are good till they hatch 500 tiny brats. Ha Solar electric ribbon fence around it all for grizzlies & your cozy.
Cool Lil cabin
Thank you!
Nice cabin. How tall is your cabin?
