Before buying, please keep this in mind. Only when using the A/C adapter, you'll get the full 100 watts. JBL should be ashamed by fooling & or tricking people into believing that they're getting this in battery mode. In battery mode, you're getting 50 watts RMS. I know this from watching a tech comparison on RUclips. Power specs were broken down for EXTREME 3 & SOUNDCORE MOTION BOOM PLUS. 80 watts for soundcore, & 50 watts for extreme 3. I purchased the extreme 3 recently, & when I attempted to use it in battery or portable mode, it felt like I wasn't even kissed, before I got f@#$!? When using the A/C adapter plug in a wall outlet, only then, you are getting the FULL 100 watts. Best suited for indoor use only; preferably in a kitchen or bedroom. As for portability, for the $300+ price tag, & at 50 watts, you're much better off getting 80 watts soundcore motion boom plus for $180.00, or the 90 watt tribit stormbox blast for $199.99. If you're going to spend $300+ plus dollars on a " portable speaker", go with the JBL BOOMBOX 3. I got these specs off of CRUTCHFIELD'S website:136 watts In battery mode 8×2 tweeters 30×2 midrange, 60 for subwoofer In A/C MODE: 180 watts 10×2 tweeters 40×2 midrange, 80 for subwoofer. Also, the battery life is 24 hours, as opposed to the 15, for the extreme 3. Last, but not least, the power configuration. If you're doubting the things that I'm speaking about, please feel free to look them up. I'm not being paid or endorsed by anyone. I'm just a concerned consumer,who feels that other consumers should know these things before buying. Again, the power configuration. 25×2 tweeters, 25×2 woofers. This is where JBL got it all wrong. Anyone who knows anything about audio in general, knows that it takes more power to produce bass, than mids & highs. Should've been more like 35 & 15 respectively,with the same power amount ( 100watts). I've rambled on long enough, good luck & hope this helped.
