Hi! My name is Elena.
I am an independent silk flower artist from Switzerland. I have worked as a silk flower artist since 2010 when I discovered that a simple piece of fabric can be transferred into a realistic silk flower. I have created custom silk flowers for individuals and companies, published almost 50 tutorials, taught individuals and groups of students. I designed every silk flower for the New York Millinery collections 2014-2017. You also can find my silk flowers in the permanent "Cutting Edge" Expo at The National Museum Of Scotland.

Thank you. Do you know if the edge of silk flower will be frayed later or not? I don’t know if we need to use fray resistant spray on the flowers or the stiffening solution already stops the fraying?

Yes, I have taken classes both in US and Japan. It is considered an art in Japan and they take it very seriously. Although I didn’t care for my teacher, I did learn things I had never learned here in the US. I am thankful that I got to take the class in Japan!
