I managed our local airport for 20 years (Curtis L. Brown, Jr. Field Elizabethtown, N C) after retiring from Delta Air Lines.. We had those guys come through several times and based teir helicpter overnight at our airfield. It is an amazing operation but saves the power companies a ton of money especially not having to worry so much during ice storms or hurricanes

I know a pilot that has flown quite a few of the tree trimming missions. Takes a certain kinda guy to, not only do that for a living but wake up every day looking forward to being in the air. He is a ball to drink beer with. 😜

I do not understand how people tolerate workers risking their human lives to cut valueless tree branches. If any technology expense is justified I would think it is this one.
