There is such a respectable skill set when doing everything by hand with the tools you have. Honestly, he is the most reasonably priced box maker for custom enclosures and under rear seat truck enclosures in particular. He was 300+ dollars less than what i was quoted for by another fairly well known under rear seat box maker. I'm just being honest here as a customer. If he can efficiently make his boxes to match his order volume and do it by hand, why change it. Also being profitable enough and comfortable with his profits, i can respect that. I much more enjoy watching this man show reels of all his handy wood work than a robot doing it for him

Johnson Paste Wax works great for what you are doing. DA sanding that surface is probably making it less flat every time you do it.
