What I recommend is it watch Z Kai and if you really like it go back and watch the og to get the original experience.They’re pretty much the same despite what most people will try to tell you.The main difference being the voice acting,changed dialogue(which is usually better but not that far from the original),and better pacing.

Seeing as you're watching the english dub, there's absolutely NO REASON to watch Dragon Ball Z. Kai has way less filler, and the only reason that you could have watched Dragon Ball Z is because Z's soundtrack is better and way more iconic than Kai's. But since the english dub made their own inferior soundtrack, there's no reason to watch it. Go watch Kai.

I'm in the camp of people who recommend OG. Sure the dub might've not aged perfectly (Especially the early parts when they were still figuring out the voices) but despite what some people say the filler in Z that Kai cut out is a great watch despite not being "canon". Sure Kai is more polished but in my opinion you kinda lose some of the charm with all the changes it made. And even Kai isn't devoid of filler it still kept tiny bits here and there which honestly makes some parts a bit more jarring imo.

Kai is definitely the way to go. Much more enjoyable, way less filler, and aged much better than the original.

If you really need to check your phone during a movie just put your brightness in the lowest setting

To this day, teenage robot had stucked with me since it first debuted on Nickelodeon in 2003 and it’s always remembered as a cult favorite. Now it feels like Viacom has been put more focus for the franchise especially in video games.

honestly I feel like it’s mostly an american thing at least, I’ve only ever seen americans doing/talking about bad movie theater etiquette and have never experienced it in my country (Denmark) and that’s no matter which type of movie it is.

Im definitely in the minority, but I'd stay with the version you've been watching. Sure it's not 100% accurate, but it's much better than Kai or the Japanese version imo.
