A network map made for anaglyph glasses
Просмотров 102Год назад
I crafted this visualization so that the original data (nodes representing expressions in academic papers about AI) is visible from the red glass, and the annotation layer (manually annotated clusters and bridges) in the blue layer. The visualization remains readable to the naked eye, but the anaglyph glasses allow navigating between the layers by blinking from one eye to the other. This setup ...

Thank you, Interesting Visualization. But I am still wondering how you got your graph to cluster automatically based on a node attribute, it doesn't work on my side. I am using 0.10.1. Thanks again.

Well, good topic, a good explanation, and a nice way to approach analytics. But 'Anti Vaxxer'? Maybe you want to revise this video with a more neutral data set. A) Anti vaxxer are mostly not against vaccinations at all rather pointing to the fact that the C-injection might be something different and therefore obtain some risks. And b) most of their claims, unfortunately, became reality by now.

Nice analysis, and thank you for sharing! I’ve noticed some curious points that perhaps you already thought about: - In the Pasta Cluster, we can see a Haggis Node, which is a Scottish dish similar to a savory pudding. I think it more closely relates to the Sausage Cluster, as one of its ingredients is a sausage casing. - The Pasta Node is not included in any cluster. But looking around it, perhaps it could be in the frontier between the Italian Cuisine and the Pasta clusters. Of course, these are only minor comments about an overall great work. But they made me think that similarly to thematic analysis, network analysis can greatly benefit from multiple researchers/analysts perspectives. Still, it was great to learn (and very reassuring to know) from your pedagogical experiment that the subjectivity of the analyst seems to matter less than other factors. Perhaps, a naturally occurring follow up experiment would be comparing the result of an analysis made by a network expert (or a small group of them) to the one made by a professional expert in the field (in this case, a cooking chef). The rationale behind it is that we often analyze networks of things we are not truly experts yet (your video is an excellent example of this). We are good at mapping communities and analyzing statistics, but how close can we get to the real deal?

The trick about clicking the number in the filter range setting is probably the weirdest UI decision 😆 But I'll use it everyday now! ("came for bipartite networks, stayed for small Gephi tricks")
