Since we are aware, a primal awareness of clarity, unsullied (by the taint of discursive thoughts), becomes clearly manifest. Since there is no duality (of subject and object present), a primal awareness of pleasurable sensation becomes clearly manifest. (42) Since we have come to understand that all phenomena are in themselves actually the real condition of existence, a primal awareness which is in no way mistaken becomes supremely manifest. And since a primal awareness of quantity (which knows each thing in its individuality) becomes clearly manifest in its entirety, the inherent nature of the three dimensions of our existence becomes supremely manifest.

This is not shikantaza. This is breath awareness, then imagination and what not. Please do not propagate this type of hypnosis as shikantaza. Dogen is listening and will bo be pleased

Sorry but none of this has anything to do with Shikantaza. In fact its the opposite of it.

Hello. This is mostly a classical attention exercise as taught in mahamudra. Attention that can be directed (aimed) and is more or less alert, is not plain awareness. Awareness has a knowing quality to it. If, for example, the attention is directed to feel the right palm of the hand, at the basis of this attention there is a knowing that the attention is directed to the palm of the hand. This knowing, or basic cognition, is there at all times in sense sensations, thinking, feeling and so on. Understanding this crucial point clarifies what plain awareness practice or shikantaza is really about.
