This is so helpful, After this you will scan it and send it in digital form to your books agent!? Or will you send the original work?
Sometimes I adjust color and size in Photoshop if necessary. Also, If there are white areas in the background, I clean them in Photoshop.

What type of scissors do you use? It kinda curves at the end.

Well damn! That worked a treat! Thank you! Goodness knows why they didn't just make Ctrl-V do that by default. like "paste in random location" seems to have limited usefulness compared to "location-aware paste" or whatever it is. I was pasting from one page to another page from a PDF that was separated into individual pages, so they were all the exact same dimensions. In photoshop, it usually will paste normally in this case, but AI doesn't seem to do that.

is there a way to copy layer and paste to replace another layer? eg you copy the bottom right cactus and you click on the top right layer and you replace it instantly
there is the three lines on the right of the layer tab. When you click that you will see: new layer, duplicate layer, delete layer etc. Whichever layer is selected you can apply one of these. So you can copy from there.

What type of paper did you use as a substrate? Thankyou...so useful to see your original pieces and then how they are transformed into a book.
Thank you! To make the colorful parts, I use 120 gram paper. For the white background, I use 215 gram paper.

Is there a way to make a default size so each time I open Illustrator I dont have to change the setting?
I m sorry for the late respond. Yes, you can make. Go to File, and click new. New document should be open. on the right, you will see Preset Details. At the bottom, click More settings. You can do the size etc from there and it will show everytime when you click file - and new.
