Fantastic mate, lovely images and footage, silly question, is there much water left for you.
Thank you and what do you mean about the water just so I can understand more and respond to your question 😊
@ Sorry, for making brews and pot noodles
@ yes there is a couple of litres but can always fill the bottle up again 😀 Tim and his wife and very accommodating.
Awesome video! Keep em up!
Thanks! Will do!
Very nice video.
Thank you
Nice video and photos! Your message at the end is spot on. We're supposedly so highly evolved that we forget we're mammals so being outside feels good in nature because that's where we're from and where we belong. :)
Totally agree being out in nature makes me really so much better. Thank you for your comments much appreciated
Another great Vid Vicky. Put in the effort and you will get the results.. Also great to capture an Owl, you have some great shots there.. 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you much appreciated I will keep trying in the videos 😊
Well done getting an important message out there, thank you. Also good for people to just get out into nature and pay attention to what’s around them. Gives them the opportunity to life there heads up from their phone! The Leeds hides looking interesting too. Have a great week.
Thank you much appreciated
I loved it Vicky well done 👍 x I’ve subscribed now 😊
Thank you so much
Hi there, i have just participated in the French version of a wild bird count. Very enjoyable as i live in a forest and am lucky to have red squirrels etc.... I recommend it to everyone who loves and cares for nature in general 😊
Amazing am glad they do this in other countries who did your country go on dis you are any changes from previous years on the numbers
Enjoyed your video.. Thanks for putting it together.. great place to photography Kings fishers it’s in my list… Look forward to your next vid. Sub from me!👍🏻
Thank you so much glad you enjoyed the video and definitely recommend the hide
My wife and I usually enjoy your videos but found this one a bit scripted and un-natural. Don’t take this the wrong way, it’s just a bit of feedback and we’ll continue to watch your channel 😀
Thanks for the feedback it was more just about getting people involved in the big bird watch this one. Back to normal for the next one 😀
Your work deserves such recognition. Well done
Thank you so much
Congratulations. Beautiful. Well done. Be proud. What a gorgeous subject.
Thank you so much the little things keep us going
Truly stunning, so majestic ❤
Thank you so much
Hope you took your wide angle lens :-) I've still yet to take a picture of a red squirrel, so on my bucket list for this year 👍
I did! I took various of lenses it was an amazing day captured loads of images. If you are on social media pop over to one of my platforms they are on there to view.
@Vickymansfieldphotography will do 👍
Absolutely stunning, and so graceful. x
Thank you so much!
Superb!!
Thanks a lot
Well done Vicky.
Thank you
Hi Vicky, what lens were you shooting here?
I had on the RF400mm F2.8 with a RF 1.4x
Another honest video and down to earth comments of what really happens when out with nature 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Lovely images Vicky, Just subscribed
Thank you
You captured some very nice shots of the Owl. I wish I had a penny for every time i said "just another half an hour" 😀
You and me both!
there is plenty of food in the supermarkets, how do you fancy diving in to a fish bowl to get yours.p.s mind your head.
They where also fishing from the lake where the fish used came from too Tim has a setup where he keeps the fish and that area where the fish are in is not shallow neither and the kingfisher was happily feeding all day long at the hide and lake too.
Great video 😊
Thank you
I mean, come on...bloomin beautiful captures Vicky. Hope to see you at birds and Belles soon.
Thank you and yes I will try and come over to North Cove one day
Nice video loved the music keep the videos coming
More to come! and thank you glad you enjoyed my video
Keep it up 😊 your doing well.
Thank you so much 😁
You are so right to say nature is marvellous 😀
It really is!
Great video like 80
Thank you 🤗
I enjoyed your video Vicky, thank you for sharing it. The Leeds Wildlife Photography Hides is one of my happy places and I have visited it many times, and will continue to do so. As you say, the activity is high and the variety of birds plenty to keep you interested. You had sone excellent light and I enjoyed seeing Ian’s new perches following my visit a couple of weeks back. Excellent video and shots, thank you once again.
Thank you for your comments and glad you enjoyed the video. Yes the hide is a lovely place and loads of activity for sure it’s different every time you do too. Have a good time when you return
Morning Vicky. This video just popped up and you now have a new subscriber. It's definitely all about getting out whenever you can, even if wildlife doesn't appear. Very enjoyable to watch and yes as I work during the week I hate when I can't get out weekends and cabin fever feeling hits. It annoys the partner when the weather is bad as I'm wanting to get out. In the end I just head out with a pair of binoculars and walking gear to scout any new potential areas. And look for any signs of wildlife and get some fresh air. Nice 👍 video
Afternoon thank you for the sub really appreciate it. Oh I hate when it is so good outside and I have to work am like a lion in a cage 🤣 but I make up for it at weekends where I can. For someone who suffered PTSD getting is out is what I need as much as I can. Glad you liked the video I will get another one up as soon as I can.
Great footage Vicky. When I've been to photograph Kingfishers in the past, I've been so mesmerised by their beauty, I sometimes forget to take photos. For the diving shots, did you manually focus?
Hi yes totally agree you do get carried away watching I did the same. Yes I pre focused to where it was diving and just kept shooting I had plenty of out of focus images 😊
Nice video. I visited in 2023 and hoped to go back in 2024 but an unexpected Triple Bypass put paid to that. As you say, Ian's setup is fabulous and whilst I didn't get to see the Sparrowhawk, I did manage to capture many species including the usual suspects in your video but also Wrens, Bramblings and the elusive Treecreeper. On top of that, Ian is a nice chap and I hope to be back this year
Totally agree there was plenty of various birds on the day it was due to the cold weather some didn’t turn up but that’s nature isn’t. Ian is a great guy totally agree very helpful too specially for any new that maybe attending and knows this area very well.
thanks Barry hope to see you soon mate
Very nice. Thank you.
Thank you
Great video. Thank you.
You are welcome! Glad you liked it
Lovely to see the more common birds, which are often neglected. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed the video and yes absolutely they are just as important that the bigger raptors
shame the black caps & tree creepers dint show but they were both back today as the temperatures gone up a few degrees , thanks Vicky
That’s just typical of nature isn’t it lol
Love the way you interact with your viewers. Great video and storytelling.
Thank you I do love feedback so this was lovely to hear. I have a new video going live tonight at 7pm gmt
Subscribed. Thank you
Thank you for the subscribe really appreciate it
What's a LEO? Is this a lion?
Long Eared Owl
1st time finding your vids, enjoyed it , will subscribe, what is the strap your using?, all the best.
That strap looks like a Peak Designs Slide, I think it's one of the new colours called Sage. Excellent straps in different widths and colours.
Hi and thank you for the subs. The strap am using is the peak design slide I have the wide and lite version but I prefer the wider one.
Agree best straps I’ve had I have the life version too but done use it as much.
Your ships coming in Vicky, stay true to yourself and you’ll soon be up to 100k subscribers.
That would be amazing if it does 😊
Wholeheartedly agree with you at the end. Friends keep telling me I should sell my photos/do it as a job. But I worry I'd lose the passion. I do it to relax. I do it to get out in nature and capture whatever I think is beautiful. I don't want the restrictions of looking for what other people want or might like. A great picture brings so much joy.
So true I have been and done it and I suffered with PTSD so getting stressed is not an option now a days I love just going out with my friends who share the same passion and am enjoy it alone too am never going back to doing eventing again. I will soon set up to sell my work but people also contact me about buying so am in no rush for a website yet
Liked, comment and sub. Even followed you on insta. Jealous of the gear mind. Just getting into wildlife photography myself. Got my first Marsh harrier shots yesterday and loved it.
Thanks for the sub! And yes took me a long time of wanting a 400mm prime and this year I went for it but I don’t like the monthly payments with the bank 🙈
Thanks for being so honest about drawing a blank, that’s reality and you’ve shown it does exist. My local patch is a moor and no two walks are the same, sometimes my R6 is working most of the time then another time not even a shot. Those landscapes are top drawer Look forward to the next vid 👏👏👏
Thank you for your comments and yes I like to show both sides to my photography it’s not all good days there is plenty of bad days too
Very interesting to see your kit for wildlife photography. The inversion and light over the mist was stunning. Thanks for sharing. Fingers crossed for next time.
Thank and yes it was beautiful evening
Always next time. Looks a stunning location 👌
It really is! Little soggy under foot at the moment but perfect for photography
some lovely shots Vicky
Thank you
Hi Vicki merry xmas to u chuck is that our lane cant tell
Merry Christmas to you too have a lovely New Year too and yes it’s that location.
Hi Vicky, Love your attitude towards your photography, I used to photograph dogs every weekend for about 10 years, and as you say it becomes a chore, recently I have changed equipment and scaled down, and go out as often as I can ,just because I love being out, I now feel energised again, take care, love the channel, keep posting…..😊
Thank you for your comments I lost my equestrian work and also my social network of friends when I walked away from photographing equestrian events all because people wanted everything for nothing and the club I worked with kept pushing to do more offers and lower prices etc basically to suit themselves not for my benefit so I left will be about 2 years ago now and my “”friends”” haven’t contacted me or spoken to me in all that time. So it’s been hard but getting back into my wildlife and doing it for me has made a long ride but am enjoying it and this is why I’ve started the channel up again to share my journey and adventures.
Besides your beautiful images, this is the most luxurious hide I’ve ever seen. How much the owners charge for the day?
Thank you and Tim currently charges around £80 for the day and it’s an amazing place worth a follow because he is building a new hide on the land too for more options and birds of prey etc it’s an amazing location he has for sure. Tim has and is still doing a great job re wilding the area too.
