Seeing how strong the Paladin is, I can totally imagine it being like "Ugh, these RUDE monsters invading Sanctuary again", as if it was only a mild inconvenience.

How do you not hear wilderness?

Gorzej jest pod koniec kiedy flat dmg i open wounds zaczynają grać główną rolę :)

- you can apply some crushing blow hits with smite at the beginning of a fight - you can position yourself in a way that allows hammers hit twice(only against some bosses)

It's external tool called LiveSplit you set up by right clicking timer and using "edit splits", "edit layout", "settings" tabs and then integrating it with your scene in obs as "window capture". Sadly there's no autosplitter for d2r since it doesn't allow us to read it's memory for updates in real time, which means we have to manage splits manually.

Yeah that's the one of those you don't wanna be surprised with on some classes :)

There's some cool tech behind ubers you need to know, understand and use. Some things make your life easier and some are actually obligatory to use, otherwise you wouldn't be able to complete the run with some characters on budget in reasonable time.

That's fantastic comment, thank you so much for your insights! 1) Forgive me about my habit of turning map on/off I try to balance visibility on the screen with getting information what map is doing, I haven't thought about user experience watching it especially w/o commenting, I'll try to keep it on more, thanks for feedback. 2) Difference Clvl(character) and Mlvl(monster) when it comes to calculating hit ratio, so I wouldn't pay attention to that on low lvl and budget characters, even on uber paladin with maxed holy shield. Resists are much more important plus shako is 35k gold :) 3)Doing shoping before specing for nihlathak when your vigor is high is a really great optimisation tip, it's when shoping for ubers should be done on paladin, thanks! LT wand shopping was extremely unlucky during this run, but usually you need one/two 3os flails depending of when your socket quests go. Usually you use two for spirit bases and one for 3os helmet to get bulwark. 4) 2x spirit + smoke combo is something you surely want to aim for with budget pal and it makes your life so much easier. As far as I remember I didn't have a single white base for 4os shield(if I had it's my bad) and lum for smoke I made with 4th io(one is obligatory for black rw). Both things came most likely late on hell countess segment, didn't want to reset map at this point although it was far from beeing good. I don't know why I've never made lore in this run though!

@@expseeker No, you can deal with some bosses this way but Lilith and Mephisto are poison immune and you have to apply open wounds to them to prevent their healing unless you have super strong geat that allows you to over damage their regenaration. You just need max block, a lot of rejuvs, learn to separate bosses from their minions to fight 1vs1 and apply open wounds with 1point smite + malice runeword every 8s so they don't heal with some crushing blow source to hasten start of the fight + appropriate light res gear for meph so he doesn't one shot you every time and you should have it without dedicated respec if your hammerdin is strong enough.

@@bokserkabaty7509 so did you also apply open wounds with your sorc too? becasue i never could imagine that a sorc can kill ubers with just normal spells (not bear/meelesorc)

Great question! Skills like meteor and immolation arrow prevent healing as well, you use them natively on sorc and amazon, on necro you can have staff with meteor charges to prevent healing and it's only class you can do it with since he has revive in his arsenal that doesn't come with weapon you have to wield(otherwise you lose your revives ofc). Technically there are dark lords with meteor skill you can revive but I completely don't believe you can rely on them @@expseeker

True, her ubers aren't the easiest, but it's not too bad comparing to some other classes. However sorc speed of rushing through game and getting keys is incontestable.@@AnhNguyen-hn9vj

Hah you are probably alluding to waterwalk drop from NM Andy and Duriel :D Odds that would happen twice in a row are insanely low indeed. We usually have 0mf during speedruns, which puts quest drop as most important factor when it comes to finding uniques.

Hi, try to focus on picking up items with +skills on them like staves/wands/scepters (even white ones) they're usually very good gold. As Paladin you may want to use cube recipe: some cheap magical(blue) scepter + 3 chipped gems in horadric cube may give you maximum gold value weapon and sometimes even very useful one if it rolls something like +blessed hammers early game. Next we have armors, the higher they're in hierarchy the more gold they provide. On top of that you may want to pick up yellow items(more affixes) and act bosses items(higher item lvl). There are 3 item classes of same item: normal, exceptional, elite. The further you progress in game the higher chance to get more valuable bases. There are also technics for chatching up with gold like power farming easily accessible super unique bosses like eldrich(they drop 2 items instead of 1), opening super chests, farming big densities areas. Last but not least remember about players settings and decide wheter you want to use it or not, it significantly mitigates no drop ratio which means you have much higher chance to find items on the ground. In the end of the day gold isn't really that important in d2, so don't overwhelm yourself with every tip I conveyed, just pick few and have fun :)

At first it doesn't matter how you play because it's easy either way. But as you progress game will get more difficult. You will notice that you won't have enough attack rating - that will mean you gonna miss monsters when you hit them, or that your damage is too low even when you hit them. So you might want to try out Blessed Hammer skill as it does not need attack rating at all. But you will soon notice that this also is not enough because the damage is too low. To avoid all these problems you need to plan how make skills and items work together because if you wear random items and put points in random skills and stat points to random stats then somewhere in the middle of nightmare or in early hell difficulty the monsters become so difficult that you can't do any progress anymore. Paladin who uses Blessed Hammer skill is called hammerdin in D2 community. So look up from the internet or youtube how to make hammerdin. If you have some vision of what to do it will save a lot of sweat and tears later. For example one thing is try to get your hands on spirit sword and shield. They are easy make give a lot for hammerdin. But it's not everything, you need to take time to learn more details as it is too much to explain in comment section but in hell difficulty you really need to know stuff and in some cased need to know the details, not just big picture. For now just progress as fast as you can because game will give you better items later. And when you can't anymore then try to hunt for better items. For example you may get stuck in the middle of act 2, then go level yourself in act 1 tristram or try to get better items by running andariel over and over again. If you get stuck in act 3, try doing tombs in act 2 to get both levels and items, if you get get stuck in act 4 come back to act 3 and do travincal, or lower kurast chests or mephisto. and so on. You can always go back to do some more item finding later, so for now just progress as much as you can.
