I recently saw a meme that pitbulls were responsible for something like 60% of dog attacks. Have to follow that up. Most of the time I'm in the civilized Leningrad or other parts of the former Soviet Union and people have tiny happy adorable little dogs. People don't feel the need to go armed have guard dogs etc. The exploiters, the criminals and their protectors were shot or gulagged 100 years ago. Now it's much more relaxed. It would be nice if Ruger etcetera made an ultra-light h-frame with a correspondingly slender cylinder that you could iwb or owb in the summertime or even pocket carry without looking like you were carrying a small brick around in your pocket. Maybe make it in 22 magnum like Bill Jordan wanted 60 years ago.

From what I remember, the rule of thumb for birdshot for defense is get #4 and larger. And I remember when 500 round boxes of 22LR at walmart was $15! Remington Hypervelocity is what it was. Those were the days! I think that was like 1998. I had a Ruger Mk2 Stainless 4" and a Feather AT22. I put a LOT of that walmart ammo through them.
