December is a great time to cruise as the cruise fares are low until the kids are out of school. The ship is beautifully decorated for Christmas and there are specials such as 3rd and 4th passengers free! We took our son's family and grandsons on the infamous December 13 cruise (we had no idea there had been an unruly guest until we were off the ship) and had a great time! It was only a 3 nt cruise but it was definitely worth it! Great service and entertainment! Longest waterslide at sea plus rock climbing wall. Food was good. Some highlights were the beef carpaccio, chocolate fountain in the buffet, and eggs benedict every breakfast! So we are home for Christmas. Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones! It is amazing that so many vibrant and beautiful people live on the small island of Rapa Nui! We visited in 2008 during the Tapati Festival and were blown away! (Please see RUclips video) I had expected to be impressed by the giant Moai statues which we were, but I had no idea that the people were so exciting and handsome, and in my opinion, the best Polynesian dancers with men so strong and athletic, dancing with "liquid hips!"

We love it too, especially "Five big fat pigs ---- four flower leis, three dried squid, two coconuts, and one myna bird in one papaya tree!" Need percussion for the coconuts! Will work on it!
