How to Install EMG Pickups In a Guitar Silverburst Dean ML Dimebag
That is a knockoff of Zakk Wylde.. just like Dean knocked off Gibson flying v and explorer.. Dean has gone downhill I don't understand what's going on with them. But I believe Zakk Wylde would like to know. I was just talking to him earlier today.. I will see Dario Lorena his backup guitarist sometime next week.. I'll let him know what Dean is doing if they don't already know. But this has nothing to do with Zakk and I'm pretty sure that he wasn't asked if they could copy it.. I think Dean has gone too far they are infringing on a lot of different guitar manufacturers. I just see it as Dean trying to ride the coattails of the top guitar companies in the world why can't they come up with their own designs.. and now they're making them in Korea and China.. they should have just stuck with making them in Tampa Florida..
Signature or he actually played it?
Is just his signature Dean guitar before he started wylde audio and made his own version
Well it's definitely not Zakk Wyldes that's for sure.. I don't see any EMG 81/85s and the back of the neck is finished in high gloss.. Zakk Wylde leaves his unfinished and Gibson also manufactured them like that for Zakk and every Wylde Audio also comes with unfinished necks..only passive pickups. So it is a knockoff of Zakk wylde you can't really say it's a Zakk Wylde you would have to say it is in the style of Zakk Wylde.. Having said that,it is a very nice looking guitar for a Korean made I would prefer to have a custom one made in the US at their custom shop in Tampa Florida. But Korean ones are definitely better than the Chinese ones...👍🏼
@@thesilverburstreservenot even close to his signature Dean.. is a Korean Dean knockoff of his signature .. The dean that he had was made in Tampa Florida.. how to unfinished neck and it had EMG pickups in it and Tone Pro tuning keys.. what you have there is junk.. Zakk Wylde would not touch that with a 15-foot Pole.. I know him personally.. I'm going to send him this video too LOl You may get lucky and he may leave a comment for you. But he usually does not comment ..
You should give it to me I like dimebag way more than you do
And it's made in China no thx u
I didn’t realize there was a skull there that makes it 100 times better

I loved the gothic series. Couple years later it was these. Not a fan of the feel of the neck, though these look and sound awesome as SG’s do
lol I did this one day to my Epi Les Paul Special ii in my high school years cause my fingers were slipping as it was a humid summer. Had no idea Dime had as well!
I was just working on one of these today... the switch up top IS a master mute. Then looking down left to right beside volume: 1. Neck pickup on/off 2. Bridge pickup on/off 3. Tone which is a bass cut 4. Mute which is a bit of a treble and volume cut. When 3 and 4 are on, it sounds very thin. Unusual setup but pretty fun to play!

Is this like the one Dean is selling right now?? If so how does the V neck shape feel because some people are saying it’s not even a V and it feels bad. Also how is the Floyd on these?? Thank you!
@@Steezus_Chrlst I have not played the latest MLs. The Floyd on this one was fine though. I own a dime o flame and a dime from hell. Those necks are chunky from that V shape, and I would prefer it more without it, but I primarily play Gibsons. I also hate the dime bag pickup in them, and swapped in a Bill Lawrence xl. I would recommend getting an older one if you need the V Shape neck.
@@thesilverburstreserve I really wish I could afford an older man. I’m gonna look around for sure tho!! Thank u sm!!
@@Steezus_Chrlst they are on face book marketplace for $300 to $500. That's where I found this one. Good luck
its used some human so it worth more. its allways when human is some famous. LOL

Hello, one question, which screw size did you use? You just screwed it directly in the case or did you put anything else?
@@SebastianGarciaSampieri I used the screws that came with the new latch. Buy one that comes with screws. Nothing else was needed, as the holes for the new latch were in a different spot than the old holes. If they happen to be in the same spot as the old holes on the case, you'll need to use slightly bigger screws and may need to enlarge the holes on the metal latch to accommodate them.

I don't think that is a 66 Hagstrom II. The pickups should have rounded corners for that year. They changed to square corner pickups in 67 like the ones on the white guitar. the switches also changed in 67 I have a white 68 with square corners and it looks identical to yours . That could be why it's wired differently. The reissue has pre 67 switch pattern and post 66 style pickups I also noticed.
Sick guitar! You just earned my sub 👍
Such a beautiful finish, ive wanted one since i seen the FBD tribute one.

Love this finish
Pity that you didn't record the sound with the original pickups, we can't compare now. Nice vid btw!
I had the Gibson exp in natural finish and it was littered with QC issue. I now own the epiphone Mustaine custom and it’s an amazing guitar. Build quality is far better than the Gibson and the silver flake through the black finish really sets it off. Love that Kramer with that green finish🤘🏻.
Yeah, the green Kramer version is definitely the better version of model for the cost. I ended up selling the green one as I was able to score the red Gibson Custom shop model for a great price.
Son with an SG?! I like his style!

Good looking axe
Yeah, it plays really nice to!
i bought the exact same vanguard 3 weeks ago and i gotta say ive never been so happy with a guitar looks and sound fresh out the box, the tones this beast delivers are next to none !!! i have a baretta with a jb and a 50s epi les paul and they were amazing but had to add with new nut tuners, pickups etc, with this i literally didnt change anything (actually i put witchhat knobs on it but thats just a asthetic thing) , the neck is comfy ebony fretboard is awesome thats the first time i played one... and the grovers are smooth n stay in tune!! it was set up good enough to play out the factory BUT i need to take it to my luthier to lower action and polish the fretboard etc... but usually i have to do it right away, its been 3 weeks and i dont wanna bring it in cause i wanna keep playing it !! hahaha , anyways i highly reccomend this guitar its my first V and now its my favourite metal guitar i have , also plays blues well considering how hot these thrash factors are
Yeah, it is a awesome V. The Dave Mustaine pickups in it really have great tone for metal!

How much did you end up selling for?
The vintage Hagstrom II also has what is called H-Expander Truss Rod, but it is adjusted from the bottom of the neck, the tuners on the vintage are Van Gent brand made in Holland ,The body of the vintage ones is made of maple and alder., good video I have a 1965 Hagstrom II and a 1970 III
Hey, thanks for the info and specs!
Sold
if you don't mind, what did it sell for?
the 60s Hagstrom II has a truss rod adjustment point on the heel of the neck
Hi, I have a question, I have a dent in my case, I want to bend it back a little but I am not sure of the material the case is made, have you got any idea? I looks the same as in this video. TIA
It looked like particle board. Google says: plywood, artificial wood laminates.
Thx!!@@thesilverburstreserve
