The Ayyapan Villakku organized at the Kozhikulangara Bhagavathy Temple, Narayanamangalam,Kodungallur. on 1st Vrishchikam 1200. Miniature temples are created for the deities of Lord Ayyapa, Vavarswami (the celebrated Muslim acquisitance of Lord Ayyapa), Goddess Bhagavathy, Lord Ganesh and Lord Murugan. The temples are constructed with exceptional craftsmanship using banana stumps, coconut fronds etc. Bhajans and other folklore songs are part of the celebration. Artists also narrate the fight between Ayyapan and Vavar and their subsequent reunion.
