You messed something up there. I recommend you select in BIOS to revert to factory settings and try to reinstall windows. Also make sure you have a high quality PSU.

Abolutely np what so ever. What matters the most is the pc case airflow. Make sure you have a mesh one in front and an exhaust pannel on top. The heat goes up anyway.

Well I wanted to do it by the book. And it's really easy, just a double click, no harm done.

@@Meroving1an by the book would be doing it without the rename, the rename is there for BIOS Flashback, I've never read or seen any document that says you should rename the file for a BIOS Update.

@@IvoMimica It is written in the recommendations there when you open the text file of the BIOS

@@Meroving1an The other guy didn't care to explain it, but the BIOS Renamer only needs to be used if you intend to update the BIOS via USB BIOS FlashBack™. You rename the file and place it on your USB drive then shutdown your PC. Then plug that USB drive into the appropriate Flashback port (usually has BIOS or something under this port in the motherboard IO panel). Then you'd press and hold the BIOS Flashback button until it starts blinking. So this method is done without having to enter the BIOS or the operating system
