Thank you for this beautiful explanation and technique.
How did you do this?
How did you do this?
Nice
Hi Paul I read in an article that you learned to do inlay in Florence. A year ago I also took a course near Ponte Vecchio in Florence from a master and from there on inlay became an obsession, it's beautiful.😊
IL TUTI DI CAPI
Fantastic classes last month at Southwest School of Woodworking in Phoenix. Thank you Paul for your extraordinary teaching ability.
I am so looking forward to you reopening and hosting classes again.

Absolutely beautiful!!!❤
Thank you for such a a great video. Where do I buy this white gum tape?
The gum tape is available at veneersystems.com
I cut out paintings from veneer, make reproductions, maybe you have a job for me
I love that cabinet!!!
Me too! It was quite a challenge and I made it more difficult by working in inches instead of my usual metric system .., not sure WHAT I was thinking at the time…
@@SchurchWoodwork it is even more beautiful in real life. I saw it in the santa barbara shop. (Kevin Lerma here). Cheers bro
Hi Paul... thanks for posting these videos. I attended workshops that you conducted at MASW over 10 years ago, and it is great to have a visual reference of your techniques. I so appreciate your, artistry, teaching style, and dedication to the craft.
Nice work Paul
Thanks!
Always so nice, amazing. Bummed your classes are so infrequent. But love your new creations. What are you spraying? Shellac?
Catalyzed lacquer was the best in this humid climate
Thank you Paul! @@SchurchWoodwork
Amazing!!

🔥🔥🔥
I love your work! It's so detailed
Glad I read these comments no sense in watching one if there’s no 2,3 or 4
The rest will be coming soon!
Hi Paul. I HAVE A PIECE FROM GERMANY called... fast friends from bg. Any idea how old it could be ?
Paul, great table. Where can I find plans for the mechanics? Thanks Doug.
I never made a drawing for the table mechanics since there were so many unknowns on the movement vs friction vs functionality, and after several mockups, selected the best movement with the best results. I could have done a ‘post blueprint’ but had to move onto the next challenge.
Paul Your Awesome. Where’s The Rest Of Your Videos.

Hello. I tried to do a bookmatching veneer several times. And every time the matching sides, although matched and positioned to perfection, end up shrinking apart a day or two after the the glue has dried. What could be the cause of that? I am using MDF as a support
I had that happen once and I believe it was because the veneer came straight from basement storage and the moisture content was high. Should have let it dry out for a day. Also maybe too soon out of the mechanical press versus using vacuum to press, which sucks out the moisture in the glue, depending on type of glue, like white or yellow, which introduce moisture and can creep with wood movement and changes in relative humidity.
A water based glue will cause that to happen, try polyurethane glue...
I love veneers and I really appreciate your subject matter. Beautiful
As others have asked and I'm sure I did a while back also, what happened to the other 3 episodes? We're all sitting out here waiting for them. Will they ever become available or are we all just holding our collectives breathes for nothing? Please advise one way or the other.
Ok , got 2 of 4 posted and the rest coming soon!
Excellent presentation, professional woodworker, 🇨🇦👍🏻
Terminarlo por favor 🙏.Es muy bonito
The next chapter videos are posted!
The first thing I notice is the benches are way to low. My fretsaw table is about chest height so I don't get a bad neck after hours of use..
I agree, and when the filming was done, (set had to be lower) it went back to the 'comfortable ' position
6 years ago??? Where's the info for this craft. Sure would like to know more about this art form

Starting to post
Great video Paul. Its been a while. Thanks for sharing.
Nice 101 video. Great explanation of tools and options.
very nice
Love your video and anxious to try it out with my Festool ATF-55. Could you please describe the blade choice you use? Number of teeth? Kerf? Geometry of the teeth?
I am using a metal cutting blade that has negative rake teeth. Festool may not carry it anymore due to liability, but the Tenryu PSA-16056D2 160mm X 56T Blade for Festool TS-55 Plunge Cut Saw does work.
the dvd is very scratchy, cant understand clearly ,like wise the same complaint for the other tapes ..polishing ,boxmaking.......
This table is seriously cool. Very much looking forward to your marquetry class at David Marks' next month!!
Nice! Thanks Pete
c,mon paul make more more more marquetry vids, its what your best at. greetings from your friend in montana
