I thought relaxer would be a convenient option as well. After a few months, you start to realize how fucked up your hair becomes. The breakage and stress at the demarcation line is no joke, and you don't really see the true damage of relaxed hair until your healthy natural hair starts to grow back out. What a nightmare. I'm 2 years post big chop and finally have my natural hair at 12 inches. I keep it silk pressed to enjoy the length or in twist outs/braid outs when I'm not doing much. I will never touch those chemicals again!

Lucky, I permed my hair and ruined my hair badly . It works for some people and not for others but your hair looks real cute

Your hair looks pretty. I'm relaxed too and I have to moisturize at least 4 days a week, steam deep condition weekly to bi weekly, protein treatments every 6 weeks using Aphogee 2 step, sleep with my hair covered. Also its best not to use a comb on a regular basis. I only detangle with a comb on wash days majority of the time. Finger detangling is best if needed.
