@JTDiamond6 also, imo you should not target fish or unknowns on trying to get them to fold overpairs. Target the regs with these kinds of bluffs as they fold a few percent more, fairly easy to check the exact overall fold frequency in the pool, especially using H2N as they separate fish and regs. And as per Red Chip Poker BR strat; shot take 1-2 bi at 50NL as you are over 10bi at NL25. Just my 2cents. Good luck bro.

Yeah some of bluffs were solid in theory when I checked them but maybe not against the right customers. Also targeting overpairs to fold is always a bit of a dangerous game which I should probably avoid

These are exploit spots but need to be checked and calibrated against the player pool. I am sure you have enough hands in your database to get a good idea on the pool overall. GTO reasoning doesn't really apply when the pool is so far off GTO play.

The exploit is that most players will overfold in many spots but you’re right I should be checking the customers a bit more carefully

Hi, thanks for the kind words. Even though it was pretty slow going volume wise early on, I wanted to document everything as I do feel there isn't much of that online. In terms of bluffing, I previously bluffed nowhere near enough so there is a chance that I am overdoing it. For example the AK bluff may be a touch on the thin side. However, with most player profiles overfolding in many spots, the profitable thing to do is to go for it in those spots. If you change a sim only slightly to have villain fold a few more combos, it is crazy how much more of our range we can bluff. However this will be a permanent balancing act where I will make plays which are too nitty/too aggressive until the end of time haha. In closing, I did sense that I was maybe overdoing it in my last stream but it's something I'll have under constant review. Thanks for watching and GL at the tables

Thanks for the detailed response. Yeah, it's very easy to overcorrect when you're trying to fix a previous leak. But yeah, the AK hand was the only one I considered to be a 'bad bluff' other suits would have been fine but unblocking AJs, Qx of diamonds, QJs etc and blocking autofolds with the A of hearts? Idk, just felt like it was not a good hand to bluff. Obviously very nit picky from myself which isn't exactly fair, but just something I noticed in your game. But yeah, in general, players in this pool love to make folds when they lack hands of strong absolute hand strength, and it's rare they ever end up on the river with anything better than top pair. Keep up the content and good luck at the tables. Might head back to Pokerstars in June when I have more time and you can expose me to my vast amount of leaks in the 25 NL pool lol

Haha my next stream will be a 25NL shot so hopefully it’ll stick this time but who knows. And yeah there are some spots where villain will call a large turn bet and have too strong a range to bluff where I might get caught out. And AK is a bad bluff I think now I’ve thought about it a bit. GL at the tables and maybe see you at 25NL 👍

@JTDiamond6 might be too much work for the stream but you should do 4 reg tables looking for recs and maybe 1-2 zoom tables. You'd be playing 50/100 NL by now if reg tables were your main focus. Regs just trying to out cooler each other in zoom pools.

You’re totally right with regard to the most effective way to building a roll being reg tables but I just enjoy the zoom format for streaming. Offstream I play regular tables elsewhere 😄

@@JTDiamond6 I was more interested in rake bb/100. I am US based so Ignition 25z is like a little over 9bb/100 rake for me, but I play a little more LAG than you do, from what I have seen Then 5z was like 19bb/100

yeah I've seen it's 4.5% but not sure how that translates to BB/100

By Azura, that's a hell of a comment haha. It's fine for a shot, but be willing to move down if you lose a few buyins. Or if you feel more comfortable, maybe wait until you have 40 buyins. Everyone has a different risk tolerance. Good luck!

Yeah solver likes using KQo as the main bluff here. Even sometimes with no spade but Mr Wizard is a lot more of a sicker player than I'll ever be haha

Raising river with sets on that board would be incredibly fishy, even the worst players wouldn’t be doing this, it’s a massive polarisation mistake. Also do you trust these players to turn SDV into bluffs like QQ’s or any pair, I would imagine not. I’m unconvinced he’s good here even 15% of the time when calling river shove

Blue line but I try to keep the redline not completely tanking but ensuring I show aggression where it makes sense

Also I’ll sometimes make some huge folds where I’m pretty convinced people aren’t bluffing which will lend itself more to blue line. However I just try to do what makes the most money in general (and not always succeed)

Makes perfect sense. Just asking because I personally had a tendency to overbluff low stakes and was still a winning player. When I switched to an almost never bluff unless spot is too good my win rate skyrocketed. Just a little tip ✌🏼 Plus maybe take a look at GTO wizard preflop charts. The lowest stake it can recommend ranges for is NL50 so remember to play tighter than GTO because of higher rake environment. LASTLY 😆 Keep up the good work fun following the journey

I get a better mic from about episode 20 by the way 😅 In the challenge it used to be as little as an hour but now I’ll try and do two 2 hour streams a week. In my normal games I’ll try to play between 4-6 hours for a session. GL at the tables 💰
