The majority of my content is educational. I have a strong desire to share my knowledge with fellow drummers around the world. I want them to discover their own "voice" on the drums.

I just purchased this Pearl mid town set , but the placement of my Tom and 22 Zildjian ride combined with only having L bracket mounts. Made me create this.
DW DIY- Remove drum wrap and glue from DW floor tom 2024!! DW Drum
Просмотров 1019 месяцев назад
this is not difficult. but you need some patience and elbow grease (work) to take on this task. my initial plan was to wrap it myself, but I completely whimped out. because I was installing the Ginger Glitter Glass wrap which is the thickest wrap on the market and because of this it requires full on cement glue on drum and the back of the wrap. I shipped the cleaned drum and wrap back to Precis...

Gretsch Renown maple Tom's 10",12"&14". Mapex Maple kick 20"x15.5". Added 8" tom. Then blended them together with high quality automotive paint and clear coat. VELAM custom guitar maker Miguel V. Applied his guitar painting technique to my entire drum set. It was not just paint and clear coat, as there was a lot of Sanding between coats.

This video does not do this justice. The cymbal goes from sustainig to very dry with two magnets. Don't blow your money on a drier cymbal.

looks and sounds great
where did you find that arm?
Have had it for 20 years. Don’t recall. I’d try Sweetwater or GTR center
Why would you NOT lower the beater rod????☝️😳
Hi, I can't make out the smaller text / font on the badges on your kit. I see Coyote, but I can't read what's beneath it. I tried to google Coyote brand drums, nothing. Is this your custom kit, or was it a manufacturer that is gone now? Nice looking kit man. Thanks for the cool video.
Could cut a coated head and apply to the cardboard on the second idea. Give it true texture feel.
Great job & a great video! Another classic example of horrible drum accessory manufacturing. They could have made this adjustable, but no... The pinheads that design this stuff, don't play for a living.
I don't play brushes bc I play metal and marching snare stuff, but a cork plate thingy or a piece of wood which fits snug in the head also could work well
V cool 👌🏼 will have to try this out
Wow...first and only comment? These came out really nice. I hope that you are making sweet music with them. Best wishes!
peegaleee hermanooo por el amor de dios
that's an awsome way to get the sound you want and not destroy the cymbal
NICE !!!!
So what is the make and model of the riser?
What I did was flatten out top of metal triple flange, this gave me bit extra to clamp riser, adding coins in stack to take up play, in clamping on .worked ok.
Fab ideas. Thanks.
Maybe if you can lower the beater down a little bit maybe it might can strike to the center of your bass drum. I have one for my 18" bass drum and I lower my beater down a little bit. Also idk have you noticed this that when you by some other beaters the stem of those comes in different lengths so you also might wanna check that out also my friend.

Vaya mareo de vídeo !!!
What is that beater on the axis
It's a Mapex beater.
Thank you sir👍🏽
It works well!! I've just made one with cardboard, it sounds good!! Thanks for sharing the ideas :)
Great ideas!
Nice idea ,thanks !!
God bless you, sir!!!!
What a great sounding Ride! Wow.
Thank you kindly!--- Sorry for the late response... the only negative is the bell, it disappears.. take care!
Man, with all due respect to a fellow drummer...it seems you really made this whole project way more complicated than necessary? It's totally cool though because you have to walk your own path and it seems like you are enjoying the journey. Best wishes to you and keep the beat.
Why are there so many nuts and bolts in that little thing?
I wanted to make it as solid as possible . And it is. Thanks. Take care
Very cool. I own a nice set of Kashians and I love them. Great cymbal for the money. I was always wondering if they made a china, and now I know. I'll be looking for that now. A lot of sizzle in that one!
The lugs look more like Hayman style than Camco/DW tourette lugs. Hayman was a British drum maker in the 60's. I'm not sure if Hayman copied Camco or the other way around. Just my $.02.
This was a custom kit that builder purchased lugs from Precision Drum company. I appreciate you adding your thoughts, we are always learning. Thanks again.
You are right Jason. Camco began in '61 and Hayman began in '68.
I feel like you could bout l brackets straighten them out and attached them to the existing riser. Coulda even made it so it was adjustable.
I agree, but I was trying to use what I had without too much labor. In addition I did not want to compromise the strength of this unit. But yes, good idea for next time.
How’s it holding up?
