Thank you for demystifying the endcap process!
I am glad the video helped.
Really nice!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video.
I’m having a very hard time seeing this srry
I know it has been a while since you posted this and you will probably not responde, but is there anyway to make this work if you don't have that long of horse hair? I am going to make a bracelet of a horse's tail, but I only manage to get a short amount of hair before she passed away. Can I attach strings or something to make it longer?
Actually there is. You make the bracelet as shown and once you get the end caps on you can fill in the length you need with chain. And your clasp will hook in to the chain. I hope this makes sense.
@@practicallycreative4213 Thabk you so much!! Yes that makes sense
I’m a Paracord and mohair Mecate braider. I have always ended my mecate with a Turks knot and use the remaining length of the cord for the tassel. I need to attach a horsehair tassel to the end of the mecate for the tassel instead. I have a vision in mind but Your advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you 😁
The way I make the tassels would not be durable enough for your mecate. Could you take longer pieces of horse hair and braid them right into your mecate towards the end.? then they would be part of the tassel at the end. I'm not sure this is much help but hope you come across something beautiful to do. Keep checking out the youtube videos. Hopefully someone has something you could use. Good Luck!
My first attempt at repurposing a feed bag was a success . Your instructions were easy to follow thank you.
You're welcome. I'm glad the video was helpful.
Very nice. Cute couple❤
Thank you!
I hope to make a bunch of these! I’ve been saving them for many years…duck food, chicken food, and bird sunflower seeds. Want to use them at our food pantry. Hope it’s as easy as you made the video appear. Good job!
Good Luck and that is a perfect use for them.
Made easy to understand and make. Thank you very much.
I am glad it was helpful!
My daughter wants me to create these tote or her to sell for her nonprofit equine rescue
What a wonderful idea. Good luck!
Thank you! I see also you are a fellow typesetter as well. Still love it!
Thanks for sharing ❤
You're welcome
Great tutorial to repurpose feed bags and reuse old rotary blades! Thank you for your time and efforts.
You're welcome.
This is what I want to make! The fast forwarding makes it difficult to actually see how you are getting the fish line to not slip apart.
I'm not understanding - can you clarify where the fish line is slipping apart?
Thanks for telling how to fix my dryer balls. My new pup loves them if I miss one in the laundry she pulls it a part. I don't have to trash them now.
Your welcome. I'm glad this video helped.
Hello. Great video. Thx for sharing. One question. Mine always get pokers. Is there a way to prevent them?
If there is I haven't found it yet. I try to trim those off if possible. Thanks for watching my video.
Excellent tutorial! Simple and effective. Very clear instruction. Thanks! :)
You're welcome. Glad you enjoyed it!
What’s the hole of the bead (mm) ?
6mm is what the hole measures
That's just awesome 👌
Thanks
Thank you for that very clear and concise tutorial ❤
You're welcome - glad you enjoyed it.

Great job ladies. I learned a lot from you two. Thanks 😊
You're welcome. Glad you found it useful.
What do you set your tension on. I will be using a singer 201-2. My bottom tension is off, and it seems it doesn't matter what i set it on.
I have asked my sister and she said she has never changed the tension on her machine. Sorry because I know this doesn't help. She did say she used a heavy duty needle and a longer stitch length.
Great easy tutorial, thank you both! Gorgeous Singer 301 by the way-best sewing machine ever!
Thank you!
This is a beautiful tote and such a creative way to reuse all those feed bags we get each month. Did you use a special foot on the sewing machine? I’m new at sewing, but going to give these a try! Thanks!
No special foot required. Thanks for watching the video and good luck with making your tote bags.
I ran across a whole bunch of these boxes , and since everything is so darn expensive this Year I decided to make all of my adult family and friends my crafty IDEAS. I love how my first one turned out and wanted New ideas, Your are gorgeous, loved them. Thank you and have a great CHRISTMAS
I'm glad the video was helpful. Making crafty gifts is always so much fun. Merry Christmas to you!
Do you have a video on how to wash the horse tail hair?
With the horse hair rubber banded at the top. I comb it out. Then wash it in the sink with either horse shampoo or dawn dish soap. Whatever you have on hand. Rinse it well then hang it to dry.
This is Exactly what I was looking 4, thank u 😁
I'm glad it was helpful!
Great vintage machine! This is not a job for a plastic machine! Sews great!
It was my mom's machine. It has been sewing for many years!
You're one of the few who does the top first. Good idea.
Thank you! That's why it is a good idea to watch a few of the videos for what you want to do. Take what you need from each.
Super cute!
Thanks
Very nice!
Thank you!
Try using string and jewelry glue. Hot glue is not for jewelry. It will not hold up over time.
I will look into that - Thank you!
Great video. Thanks for sharing your process
You're welcome!
Great video! I’m going to try this tomorrow!!
Glad you enjoyed the video - good luck!
We have plenty of these bags to use!! We have goats, pigs, chickens, and three horses!! I was wondering what size needle your sister uses, and what kind of thread. Thanks!
She used a heavy gauge needle, like for denim or leather and cotton or cotton/poly thread. Thank for watching the video!
How to you prep the surface before you paint the final color? Thanks
I did not paint the cigar boxes I used. That is how they were when I purchased them.
Cigar boxes are 25 cents at shoprite grocery store
Thanks!
Seriously???? I had to pay up to $10.00 for several of mine The cheapest ones I could find was $5.00 I have a Wed night Church class that we're going to be making mothers day gifts. Where do I find and the cheap ones at. I could use a few of those. And thank you in advance Darla Hix
LOVE IT! I just made one, but with fabric handles!🥰🥰🥰
So glad the video was helpful. I was wondering myself if fabric handles would be easier to sew on than the strips of bag.
@@practicallycreative4213 MUCH easier! I don't especially like the feel of the plastic ones. I'm making another one today and I already sewed the coordinating fabric handles. I found trying to move the bag around to make the Z on them was extremely difficult, even with the fabric. The plastic is just so stiff. I make fabric ones all the time, but I have so many leftover bird seed bags, I wanted to make some to give away.
Hi thanks for making and sharing this video. The end results look fantastic. I just recently acquired several wooden cigar boxes of different shapes and sizes and I am currently in the process of converting them into dump boxes, memory boxes, Stash boxes with hidden compartments, display cases for knives&guns, Deck boxes for card games like pokemon and magic the gathering, and shadow boxes. I came to the internet and RUclips looking for some ideas and inspiration. I was expecting to see some jaw dropping, next level masterpieces (yours are badass btw) but I'm really flabbergasted that there really isn't much out there. Usually if you come up with an idea for something and you look it up on online, 99.9% of the time there's already established communities of people that are doing the same thing. Anyways, keep on making cool stuff and sharing it with us.
Thank you for such kind words and I am glad you enjoyed the video.
Thank you so much for your tip. As you know I do have a puppy who likes to chew and she has definitely taken a liking to my dryer balls. Now I’ve got to figure out where to find one of those kits.
