sorry to hear that, alot maybe a factor like new Windows 11 updates in case you are using Windows 11 and game updates. Mostly, the game worked on Windows 10.

I know how frustrating it is as I had more 1 month before finding a fixed on my PC but mostly it seems it is due to Windows 11 updates. Last resort is reinstall of Windows, mostly gets it fixed but still not 100%.

You can go to Steam Library, right click the game > Manage > Browse local files

Have you tried verifying the integrity files for BF2042? Or make sure to do clean install and restart before installing the game again.

Sorry to hear that. Try reinstalling/Repairing EA App and the game. Restart after uninstalling or cleaning them up. Then try again.

@@Xtreme_Ghost go to your C drive or where you installed EA app - C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop - EADesktop.exe and App Recovery. Run as admin as well for EADesktop.exe and EALauncher.exe even Anticheats. You can try that.

@@frdvlln Ive tried those multiple times, same with the game, same with steam, i've done the control flow guard, admin on everything, ive even disabled hyper-V in my bios, i've reinstalled windows 11 and everything is the same. Right now I just did a clean install of windows 10 and i'll tell you how it goes.

Pheww that's really bad. That I am not sure, this video solution I have posted worked for me before resorting in reinstalling my Windows. I did try the hyper-V disabled and hyper something from services. Might be new updates as well from Windows 11 that is causing issues. Sadly, I don't know the answer if this solution doesn't work aside from what you did, going back to Windows 10.

Try opening your EA app then sign out, then re-open game from Steam and try linking your steam that way to your EA account.

Sad to hear that, it is really pain in the @$$ tho i know how it feels. I suggest you try repairing EA APP/reinstall and set compatibility/run as admin for both the EA app then the EAanti cheat. Might help and good luck. 🙏🏼
