Not an art person but from my untrained eye it looks like the problem isn’t the curve but rather the extremely angular corner on their hair? It looks like it should be rounded but has a really jarring and edgy shape
That is a stylistic choice and is not the problem. The problem is that in order to have clean lines you gotta do long strokes- which is difficult if the line has subtle curves.
im not exactly a 2D artist, but this happens to me all the time, I see a slight curve and think "it needs to curve here" and i end up curving it way too much because i was thinking about it

I think a part of the problem is the perspective, the foot gets smaller when it goes to the front and it makes it look like it’s going behind the other foot. (I think, it’s also hard to tell which foot is supposed to be going to the front.)
