Narai-Juku is definitely on my "must visit" list. The calm, peace, beauty, and history combined really calls out to me. I think I'd like to visit in winter, as you did, and stay at BYAKU Narai for several nights. What a lovely hotel! Thank you for another great video, Tee. I'm going to rewatch it right now! 😊

What a lovely day! I especially enjoyed your visit to Yoyogi Hachimangu Shrine. The serenity and beauty of shrines and temples is always awesome, particularly within the confines of a bustling city. Hi Tee! The Omusubi stones placed at the shrine were so cute and charming, especially the bigger ones with the faces on them. I hope you get the chance to buy a charm next time. The baked Omu-rice looked delicious! 😋 Thank you for sharing!😊 Side note: I lived in Germany as a child, the Christmas markets are definitely a bucket list item.

Was the "shio kombu" salted seaweed? Or is it a homophone for something else? Japanese has tricked me like that in the past.

What a nice day! I particularly enjoyed the Takagi Shrine and the whimsical omusubi stones and charms. I would have purchased one for its "connection with someone" connotation. What a beautiful day for a stroll, Tee! I loved the retro vibe of Yanaka Ginza, and I appreciated the diminished weekday crowds. The ginkgo trees in Ueno Park were gorgeous! Also, the seasonal Mont Blanc pancakes at Iriya Plus Cafe looked positively yummy. Thank you for taking us along.

I find it strange that most food in Japan is cheaper than in Australia - except unagi.

Wow!! I've been to Yokohama twice now and LOVED it there. Stayed at the New Otonni near the Port and took the Sky Cabins over to the shopping area, also visited Red Brick Warehouse. A visit to China town was a must both times as well. I'm glad you enjoyed your time there. ❤ Thank you for this video, it brought back many great memories of my visits there. 😊

It was nice to see Shinichi with you, Tee! He (and Satoshi) are wonderful friends to have . You probably couldn't find better guides for Tokyo and environs. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself and, hopefully, didn't crash and burn after all the sugary foods.
