selective disclosure and ZKP are not the same thing! ZKP would also make sure the verifier cant prove attributes about a credential holder to a third party
'promo sm' 😻
Nice prescription platform we need one of those and the Id too
I say NO to fascism.
Hi, this is a very interesting video! please allow me to ask something. I understand the did creation part...but can you please explain me how the information is provided from holder to verifier? can I as a holder choose what to share? or once I share my did with verifier he/she will have access to all the information inside my credential?
Hi Reina, Thanks for getting in touch. The exact method for how the verifiable credential is requested is on the verifier and the holder has the option to either accept or refuse their request. The available options also vary depending on the type of credential used. For web credentials, there is a concept of selective-disclosure that allows the verifier to define which information exactly is requested from the credential of the holder. You can find more information here: learn.mattr.global/tutorials/verify/web-credentials/presentation-template/selective-disclosure. If you want to talk in more detail please email info@mattr.global and one of the team will reach out. Thanks, MATTR
"promo sm"
Pretty cool! :) Just wondering if you might want to separate the "Present credential" and the "Delete Credential" further? - maybe have a button on the bottom right of the screen - in the credential view - that says "Present credential" - and then only the "Delete Credential" in the top right ... menu?
Great explainer Preet!
Thanks Waylon ☺
So now the CEO of Pfizer has said the vaccine does NOT prevent transmission this undermines this entire platform.
Is the key In the derived proof supposed to be private on the slide at time 5:00 minutes?
Can you prove you are above the age of 18 without dislocating your birthday?
Awesome
Great Demo! How you solve the double spending issue with the prescription?
Vaccine pass in New Zealand is a joke. Just gives proprieters and staff the oppotunity to play GOD. eg 4 of us go into a tavern, all of us showed our vaccine pass yet only one was signalled out to show photo ID. we didnt take any photo ID its a pub. so because he didnt have photo ID he was not allowed in. When I asked why does he the only one to have to show photo ID the guy at the door stated hes seen all our photo. I laughed in his face you see, I don't have a photo ID. i thinkj Rattle n hum in Nelson are RACISTS.µso warning people just cause you have a Vaccine Passport it means jack shit and absolutely means nothing. cause if you haveny got photo ID you wont get in. Their place theyre GOD. wished i never been vaccinated
Good stuff 👍
Cindy's lapdogs....utter fools going along with this clown show.
I just want to hug my family again.
Does the scanning functionality pair with the COVID tracer functionality? Will contact tracing be conducted through this app, or will customers still be required to scan in using that seperate app?
Hi Jaime, Thanks for getting in touch. The app we're demonstrating in our video is designed to scan My Covid Pass QR codes. This is a different app from NZ COVID Tracer, which you can learn about on the Ministry of Health website: www.health.govt.nz/our-work/diseases-and-conditions/covid-19-novel-coronavirus/covid-19-resources-and-tools/nz-covid-tracer-app.
how they state it doesnt store your data and information. IT does
This looks fantastic. Can you share whether or not any NZ event ticketing agents (eg. Eventfinda, Eventbrite) are working with your new APIs & apps yet?

does it support range proofs?
Yes BBS+ signatures as a cryptographic scheme does support range proof
Nice demo. Is it an ACA-py based solution?
Hey Paul -- this solution is not ACA-py based, what you see here is a prototype that shares the same backend as our MATTR VII platform and leverages a browser-based solution for credential exchange known as "CHAPI" -- the Credential Handler API over at W3C. The decision to use CHAPI (which was a consensus amongst DHS SVIP cohort members) was largely due to the fact that CHAPI was a relatively easy way to have multiple vendors interoperate with independent technical stacks. To facilitate CHAPI we're using what's known as a polyfill which allows implementers to build and use in-browser functionality prior to browsers deciding to natively support those features. We are hoping to achieve more direct interoperability with projects like ACA-py in the future as part of the upcoming interop targets for AIP 2.0. You can read more about CHAPI here: w3c-ccg.github.io/credential-handler-api/ And you can find the polyfill here: github.com/digitalbazaar/credential-handler-polyfill
Great demo! In fact the only real source I was able to find the selective disclosure magic in action.
How you tackle privacy if all the data is on a QR code? Minimal disclosure is not possible.
For privacy reasons you will want to keep the data in the QR/NFC to the absolute minimum, or, if possible derived (e.g. Are you tested/vaccinated: Yes/No, or 21 years or older: yes/No). You also want this because of the max size of the QR/NFC.
As Maarten mentions above, the issuer should limit the claims contained in the credential within the QR code to those absolutely necessary to the subject/holder - both to limit the exposure of personal information but also so as to more easily permit the credential to be represented within the limited data available in the QR code. The issuer should implement secure physical transport mechanisms to transmit the credential to the holder (e.g. by post or physical issuance). The holder must then treat the physical presentation of the QR code as they would their responses to presentation requests received via a digital wallet. You are correct that a selective disclosure is not possible when relying on a physical medium such as a printed QR code to convey the data.
Does the MATTR Verifier require an Internet connection in order to be able to verify those credentials presented to it?
With paper based credential what was the thought around minimising the risk of fraud (say an antivaxer that needed to meeting a vaccination requirement) i.e. say if I was to take someone elses valid details but create new card with my own picture? Could during the verification process it also return the photo so the authorising person could verify against the card/person in front of them? Just thinking about options in the absence of that second factor of physical phone/biometric that you are who you say you are.
I think one fundamental feature of verifiable credentials is that they're cryptographically signed by a (known and trusted) issuer party. Credential holder shouldn't be able to tamper with the credential without altering the signature. In this case, the party who is scanning and relying on this type of credential should already know and trust the identifier of the medical lab, doctor, etc. issuing the certificate.
@@CarlosBruguera I guess I might be thinking too much of an edge case. I get the trust of the medical lab side of things, it's how do I know that the holder of the paper based credential is the real John Smith. It's just a single factor. If someone would be prepared to fake the medical lab side of things (which I agree this solves) surely it's not too much of a step to consider they would fake the paper credential by using someone elses real details/QR code but different pic.
Correction: At timestamp 2:24 we claim existing NFC cards are sub 1 Megabyte. This is inaccurate. The most popular and frequently used NFC cards have storage space of 1 Kilobyte or less. With CBOR-LD serialisation, we are able to fit the credential shown in the video on a 1Kb NFC chip.
Well done. Thank you.
How about revocation lists that are implemented on some ledger? How would a link to a revocation list work in that case? Also, could this "link" be a DID instead of a URL? e.g. A DID resolvable into some service URL or any other reference mechanism for checking the validity of credentials, etc.
Where is part1?

Hi @darksteam999 On the questions you answered below Yes that is correct BBS+ is a multi-message digital signature capable of selective reveal. Importantly what you reveal is not the original signature but instead a proof of knowledge of the signature along side any of the messages you would like to reveal that were signed when producing the signature.
Thanks a lot !!!
One more thing, is the BBS+ Signature Proof of Knowledge a "non-interactive" proof?
@@darksteam999 Yes it is
Thank you for this video explaining the BBS+ for a newcomer like me. Just wondering about what BBS+ can do. 1. BBS+ is a modified version of BBS. Hence, it can do multiple messages signing into a single signature. Later, we can choose to reveal some messages to be verified with that single signature (of multiple messages)? 2. BBS+ can do the same trick as multiple messages signing. Instead, we leverage this to a ZKP capable verifiable credentials where we treat those attributes of the credential as multiple messages. We can sign multiple attributes and choose some attributes to be revealed. Later, the verifier can verify those revealed attributes with the signature (without knowing other attributes). Am I right?
