I tend to avoid mentioning price just because I know that we get views from outside of where we're located here in Canada. I don't want anyone to get confused by the price differences in different countries. For those folks in Canada, the Z71 Tahoe starts at just over $89k.

The spare tire position definitely provides an extra level of difficulty, no question there. The rearview camera mirror would be a great addition to these!

I feel like the failure has been in the marketing. EVs are fantastic *options* for those that want them. The marketing, in my opinion, has been geared towards them replacing everything. You can have the nicest putter in the world sitting in your bag, but you still want a driver off the tee. Every tool has it's purpose.

That kind of power would be a blast in a truck this size!

Still no diesel engine on the Canyon or Colorado, but that level of torque would be a blast in a small truck like this! Reminiscent of the small block V8 they used to have just before 2010.. As for the 3.0L Duramax, it's still alive and going strong moving into 2025. As with most new things, there were a few issues that it ran into when introduced a couple years ago, but they've done some great work to solidify it as a fantastic option for half ton diesel drivers!

@@beautifulbaldguy I own the truck in this video. It's a nice truck but has a bunch of little issues. We get those 3.0 duramaxs in and they aren't bad but because of the way it's engineered the customer ends up paying alot for labor on just maintenance. They aren't to thrilled about that. I am a GM guy but I'd have to say I wouldn't own one just for that. Having a 6.2 is fine with me. The L3B in my canyon is a great engine. I love how thought out the design is. Very easy to work on. You can get to everything.

The Canyon was a V6 until 2023 when they made the shift to the 2.7L turbo. The V8 hasn't been seen since 2009, I believe. There's always pros and cons to the smaller sized turbo engines. Hopefully, they find a way to get you the power you're looking for!

The hardest lesson I had to learn as a salesperson was that it's not my money. I would often look at the payments/costs for new vehicles and basically shut down thinking about how much it is. I then had a guy talk to me about what he gains by having a truck like this as far as his work situation, and his math made sense for him, and it helped me understand that there's often far more to it than I realize. It's crazy how expensive the world is getting, but I'm always happy to see programs that can help bring the costs down a bit.

@brians.1357 open to the public! In Canada, the EV Rebates on these are only available to businesses/companies, but the trucks themselves are available to anyone. I'm not sure about how any potential rebates work in other countries.

@TS-hi8vo absolutely reasonable! EVs are getting more and more incredible as time passes, but like most things, it's not going to work for everyone. You can have the coolest and most impressive screwdriver in the world, but sometimes, what you need is a hammer. That's the comparison of EV vs. ICE in my mind.

So far, I've truly enjoyed my experiences with the Envision. Like every other vehicle, it's not going be for everyone, but I believe that those who do choose this vehicle will love it! Glad you're enjoying your RDX.

@orozcoluis4765 the guy that bought it uses it as his daily driver. They're incredibly capable vehicles. Let me know if you ever do that review, though. I don't think I could manage a tuxedo in the desert.

@@beautifulbaldguy last weekend I saw one of this cars while driving in the Alps, the corvette was racing with a McLaren and another one, maybe a Buggati (?)., so there's no dessert here, and a corvette like this is priced at 2x than in US, probably taxes..., good review, btw.

You're absolutely correct, my friend. I've made sure to pin a comment about the error I made on the rear heated seats. The heated rear seats are standard on the ST (Sport Touring in Canada, Essence in US) and Avenir, but are unavailable on the Preferred trim in Canada, and available as an option in the US. I really appreciate the fact check! It helps me learn and improve with every new video.

This beautiful vehicle actually sold back at the end of February, only days after this video came out. Nissan had already discontinued the SV Premium when we filmed this, but I know they've brought out several other options and packages for their newer Frontier models.

@@kervensferdinand669 with the 2X & Watts to Freedom, only 4.2 seconds! Which is unreal considering it's over 9000 lbs. The 3X can shave that down to 3.7 since it's running the third motor.

Thankfully, this one managed to avoid that recall thus far. I've also started to have a bit more appreciation for recalls. While I don't like when a vehicle needs one, it makes me happy that manufacturers are taking the time to fix issues when they are discovered, even decades down the road.

That's a great question! I'll have to look into whether that's something I can find out. I feel like on any other vehicle, the red mist would be the clear choice, but there's so much to love about that bold torch red on the Vette.

I remember being so stoked when they released it, and broken hearted when they pulled it again. I would love to see the SV Premium become a regular option for the Frontier. The comforts and refinement of the Pro-4X Luxury, with the versatility of the 6' bed? Slam dunk.

That's fair. In the same mindset, having a vehicle that can do 0-60 mph in under 3 seconds, has a top speed of nearly 200 mph, handles corners with precision, AND has nice luxuries/comforts? That's pretty exciting.
