could have been a good video if you would shut up and just work we all work on bikes we dont need all your tips and this all comes with instructions
@@vandal62386 then why you watching the video? Sounds like you already know how to do it. You should have gotten off RUclips, read the instructions and got to work. Don’t see the purpose of this comment??
My S&S 475 kit is OTW, I will def. be playing and pausing this vid ALOT in the shop during my install. Thank you for this very comprehensive/ in depth install vid, sir.
I love the tech tip
Merry Christmas Tucker Speed! Loving my ST because of you guys! Your show occupied my time at work today perfectly.
Wouldn’t want you kicking my dog now..
Speaking to your grievance about the dealership issues locally. I’ve been a frequent customer of Timp Harley (now summit) since 2015 and the change in ownership was a huge downfall and you lost a lot of employees that knew what they were doing and and were actually knowledgeable about the product. Steve was my go to guy at the dealership and he is a big part of the reason I drove the hour and a half to have you guys do the dyno tuning on my bike.
This is sad. My $22,000 2021 HD Road King did not come with adjustable levers. I'd have to spend between $280 - $380 (approximately, depending on brand) to get adjustable levers for it. Meanwhile, my $15,000 2018 Hayabusa came with adjustable levers from the factory. I've been riding various brands of bikes to include four Harleys for 60 years and it always amazes me how we riders drink DEEPLY from the Harley Kool Aid pitcher, despite massive evidence that we should walk away and visit another brand while pocketing the price difference.
I love that this guy isn’t a pretentious wiener when making this video. Dope bike too.
make sure you loctite it

🏁👍
I can’t do biltwell helmets. Awesome paint schemes but the fit people with round heads, not semi oval.
Going with the Woods Cam..wouldn’t that potentially void your warranty?
It will definitely void your warranty, but this bike wasn't under warranty anyways. Usually getting the most performance out of your bike and HD factory warranties don't mix, you have to pick one or the other.
Is this more effective for reducing excessive oil blow by than Fuelling Parts Dip Stick?
I believe it is. They both work well but we've had best results with the trans cover.
2012 103 street glide with woods tw222 cams and fueling lifters. Are stock push rods still ok?
We always recommend replacing them when installing a cam. The stock ones might be fine but you might as well change them while you're in there, they will also make installation much easier with adjustable pushrods.
Great video. It has made my decision for me.. LEAVE IT TO THE MECHANICS. HAHA. good stuff.
I’m 67 years old and have been riding motorcycles since I could drive. I currently ride a 2019 Limited. Now that I’m retired my wife and I chase the warm weather and bring the bike in a toy hauler fifth wheel. We love riding with friends we’ve made along the way. I just can’t do big miles in a day, maybe 400 . Some of my riding friends will do 5 to 7 hundred miles in a chunk by not me.
found it ty😁
How do I buy a vacuum mason jar from your company?
We have them for sale on our website - tuckerspeed.com/products/jims-tappet-vacuum-pump-up-tool
I didnt know we had to make sure about the chain slack, was under the impression that the tensioner sets the tension.
Great video.
I GOT SAME BIKE BUT A 24 ST SAME LIGHTS LOVE EM SAME BREATHER ,,HAD MANY HARLEYS SINCE 60S AND LOVE THIS BIKE MORE THEN ANY OTHER
I’m going to attempt this now. Can you cover the mine field of selecting a proper tuner ?
@@MarkGonzalez-vh5pu we are currently working on a series of videos about EFI tuning, how the system works and why you should properly tune your motorcycle.
Do you have Rubber Grommets in the Clutch Basket that absorb torque under initial load - On my Japanese bike I change this has having too much play -
What do you suggest if your crankshaft run out is .008” ? I’ve read Harley’s serviceable limits are .012”! I’m leaning towards leaving the stock cam plate and oil pump in because of the run out on mine.🤷♂️ Doesn’t give me a warm and fuzzy feeling knowing these crank shafts are not true but I’m extremely new at all this.
Unbelievable install on how easy you made it look , super pro bro ty:. Can’t wait to tackle this whole process.. Sucks Harley uses such crap on these parts you swapped..
Hardly engineering at its best! 😂
Thank you, I wish I had this video back in March 24, I would’ve saved myself 1500 doll hairs. Awesome, feeling more confident if I change my current cam.
Why take off derby cover if you removing the whole primary
Because you need it off to fill the oil after you reinstall the primary.
Great conversation, great perspective on bagger racing!
What size rear shocks are you running? Planning on doing my own build and I love the stance of yours. Just curious. I’ve seen some people ask on a couple vids and I cant find an answer
They are 14" shocks.
I’ll watch this ten more times while I wait on my parts to arrive 👍🏾
Snugger is a good word.
Love your vlogs and podcasts. I work in leather and noticed your belt. If it’s not too much trouble can you shoot me pictures of it. Love to get ideas especially for the motorcycle dudes. I don’t have a website so if can let me know and I’ll provide my email address! Keep the content coming.
The last chain driven Automobile was a Nash. Why buy 1930s technology when you can buy a gear driven transmission on every Indian! Friggin stupid to buy HD and spend thousands of dollars to update it. There’s more to a motorcycle than paint! Just sayin!
Caliper Bag : Tony is obviously a Wizard. I’ve been zip tie-ing them my whole life…. 😵💫
Life hack
My bike already has the SE Stage 3 kit with SE adjustable pushrods, I want to change the cam to something more aggressive. Should I change the pushrods also?
You should be able to reuse your adjustable pushrods.
I went with the SE 55mm. I was shocked by the oily carbon deposits in the cylinder head intake runners. 32.5k o the clock.
Nice job , easy to follow, keep ‘em coming.
Hello friends, I recently purchased a complete big bore 132 kit with 550c cam. but I'm having problems with the camplate bushing. The motorcycle only traveled 200km and the cam bushing ovalized. I'm using all the s&s parts that came in the kit. valve springs, camplate, oil pump, lifters. I was unable to identify the reason why this happened and I would like help trying to resolve it so that it doesn't happen again. I measured de crank runout and was 0.003 mm . Now de crank ruout is 0.024 mm . My bike have 23000 km and i used 5000 With The original camplate , original Springs and wood cam 22xe With zero problems. I beliche The 550 cam was The problem because The first came is enormous and The Springs are too hard and they force exactly in this direction of The bushing. I think s&s have to review the quality of The bushing material for this cams . Bearings is The best way to run big cams. I probably Will adapt one rsrs
It's hard to say without looking at it and doing some digging. I would give S&S a call and see if they've had any experience with that particular issue.
@TuckerSpeed477 i decide today to reinstall the original camplate with the wood cam . I'm using the original crank with 0.024 runout . 60 km running and the camplate is fine until now . I Will test a few days . But i suspect the problem is the 550c cam .
@@fredericorosenzweig644 Hard to say for sure. We've run that cam in many builds with no problems. We have a bike in the shop right now that has 18,000 miles on the 550 cam with no problems.
Bike is dialed. Love it! Great build.
Thanks! The FM Risers were great but once the anodizing on the bars faded we swapped everything out for a Kraus bar/riser setup.
I like your Thrashin Supply Tattoo.
@@richpuller1348 ya, it’s cool. Except it’s a Tucker Speed tattoo!!
Hell yeah! So cool to see the process
Do they sit any closer to the bars, or do you need the adjustable ones for that?
I believe you'd need the adjustable levers for that. These don't sit closer.
Man did I need this! LOL! At least I can say I kind of have a way better idea at how this works!😁
Stop calling the dark horse man o' war a compensator it is not! The company itself does not label it one for a reason! While it may compensate slightly but nothing as much as the stock it is essentially a sprocket with hunks of polyurethane.
@@ccollins9981 Yes Sir!! Thank you for your service internet warrior. We need more people patrolling the internet and correcting everything they deem incorrect.
Great video, I am glad I had it done by profeesionals :)
When it comes to tappets for the Harley V-twin , JIMS! I use their Power Glide lifters in Pans and Shovels.
Ohhhhh they said Ore house. Got it! This was a great episode!
Thank you so much for this video; was finally able to understand the push rod adjustment. I feel like I'm ready to tackle my cam install now!
Awesome, glad it was helpful!
