I modified a free sci fi sound that was close to the screen sound until it was right.

Thank you! I made it with room for electronics and have lights in there with a battery and switch, and of course the soundboard that makes the pew pew noises.

@@limeybuilds5051 I wish there was a soundboard with the phaser firing sound from Star Trek VI The Final Frontier. That’s my favorite, aside from the Original Series phaser sounds. How do you configure the soundboard with the trigger button to make it sound when firing??

There are connections where you wire in the trigger that basically just completes the circuit. you can add any sound you like to them, I just used the sound that was accurate for this model from the show. If I was making a ST VI phaser i would have the ST VI sound. See my Disco S31 phaser - that has the S31 sound.

@@limeybuilds5051 Your models are very good. Got your SNW Phaser as I had a request for a holster for that model. It turned out well, but I think if I can get a nice pebbled texture on it, it would look great in a strong resin print.

Thank you! I made it! First 3D modelled it, then printed it, then made a file for the iPod Nano and put that in. This model features metal parts that were made by Black Sea, using my model as the base.

It's 7th gen iPod nano, and i did the graphic animation simply by creating images in photoshop and animating them in windows movie maker. Do you have the link to the video file I did?

At the moment i think the pieces are too loose. the ability to move has them getting in each other's way. not sure if it will work tighter, but it might actually make it work easier. Thinking to add material to inner edges to get it tight as possible next.

@@johnnysto2261 I was also thinking you would paint it as well, so that should tighten it up.

I used Automotive paints. I think the main colour (lighter) was BMW Sparkling Graphite. Not sure what the darker one is. I'd have to check on that.

Not worked that out completely as yet. I can make 3 more of them in total. With this thing having an almost 100USD single piece of electronics in there it would be at least 400GBP to make the work worth all the time and effort, I would say.
