Bottom line, we need our academy as the backup’s. Create a conveyor belt of these academy kids and provide a viable pathway to the 25 man squad. Most won’t make it and Spurs can move the players who don’t for a tidy sum. Intermix the squad with some experienced players in their twighlight of their careers, like a Perisic (before we got him) and bingo, it’s a recipe for having a right mix to move our club PERPETUALLY forward.
