Sal'aam Aryan, for a while, going by your name, I thought that you are from India. Then I figured that you are from that beautiful land Pars, now called Iran. Anyway I write to ask you a question. What is the thickness of the syringe filter that you are using? Is it 22? I tried following these steps to measure the EY of my espresso, but the coffee would not pass the syringe filter. I'd be grateful for your input. Cheers,

Looks like the brush had the 1st shot of espresso 😂😂😂 but all that expensive stuff for a $1.50 cup and the time it took. I could have walked to my corner store and got two tacos and coffee. 😂😂😂😂

Easily the best switch recipe. I’ve tried upwards of 7 recipes on RUclips, with close attention to detail. None of those cups have come out as well rounded as this one. Full of flavor and the notes linger. Excited to experiment some more.

I have had mine for about 15 months, it's as good, as the day it was unboxed. Backflush daily with water and monthly with detergent, descale and lub handle once to date!

Cool! Could you help me understand how the Melodrip is helping for lower astringency here? Is it because the water is poured on a lower level, so the bed stays more even or is it something else? :)

How often do you do this?
personally I do it once every 2-3 weeks, which matches the use up of my usually 250g bag of espresso beans (only drinking one double shot per day)
Backflush with just water (no detergent) at least once or twice per week. Backflush with detergent every 6-8 weeks. Since this is an E61 machine you do not want to use detergent too frequently or you'll find yourself having to regularly relubricate all the moving parts.
Which one was best and consistent in time in terms of flavour?
I think its a little under extracted. Or that the coffee is old 😊
