HAWKER 800 Take Off Toluca 2022

Departing Toluca, A birdstrike just climbing out of the airport on the Right engine. Full procedure, autopilot off and manual return to the field with a visual landing, one engine. Great skills by the pilots. Sorry for that brief moment where I drop the camera got a little nervous, but regained confidence as pilots did an amazing job.
Harsh landing A380 LAX
Просмотров 7852 года назад
Not sure what happened, it was all very smooth, up till the last couple of seconds before landing, we felt a drastic up and down and it seemed a bit of Windshear?, anyway, it felt in the end as if the pilot was about to abort and miss approach, but, it landed, hard....Safe though. But I be that structural walkthrough for the next flights will leave a mark.
Business Class of Singapore Air A380 take off from LAX
Просмотров 3142 года назад
I uploaded this video, with some nostalgia, as Singapore doesn't fly the A380 anymore on the LAX-NRT route. This was taken in 2014 on my first time traveling to Tokyo, on board SQ11 in business class bound for Narita. I will post as well the landing back, with some harsh touch down in LA,. Hope you enjoy...

Really fast to the memory items. What’s the rush? Take a breath, climb to a safe altitude then work the issues. Even on single engine as long as you fly the proper profile you’ll be fine until a safe altitude.

WTF guys. I am impressed by the mediocracy I see. I flew for the military, and I would like to inform the unknown as well as the crew as a feedback. 1. The birdstrike was just moments after the worst case scenario with Engine Failure right after V1. Thats why really strict and quick procedures must be ready within a second! Prepare. 2. The engine failure was a precautionary shutdown. Engine para looked good, I could not say if it was spooling down but IF you are low on departure with landing-overweight at MTOW - Hold on to it. You can do the precaution after finishing the third segment- configured and most of the time clear of obstacles. 3. Your abnormal procedure sucks. Sorry, but this is something that makes me upset. There are many things we all brief before takeoff- Why the hell no engine out briefing? I do that, to remind the crew. And I do brief initial steps as performed in the boldface procedure. "Eng Fail after V1, confirmation of side then boldface items, then EO SID. You are not working as a team initially. But here is, what co pilots with lousy captain should remember, as well as captains with lauzy co pilots: In any moment you could be taken controll off because someone forgot the boldface. You must be able to perform both sides. 4. Airplane control-Rotation-Gear-400'-Flaps THEN the procedure. Announce it, confirm it. Captain here is far too busy with flying as he is well surprized. Co will be commanded to perform items. Confirm you are ready to do if not called out. Then BOLDFACE. Squawk 7700, MAYDAY CALL! TCAS TA Only! Let ATC know your EOSID or follow their instructions. Level off at MSA, then continue withv he checklist and the whole procedure. Confirm you made all steps correctly. THEN is time for changing plans. Request vectors - Set AP to get Captain back into the loop. These steps are all the same for all airplanes! And to be honest- That will all be done in less than a minute. Asses if immediate landing must be performed. Here: Yes . And then you do nothing more as to prepare approach and landing by wind and vis check via com, calculating VYSE+correction- Have X-Wind calculated, WCA on hand and make a substantial Approach breifing. Go into Abnormal SE Landing and perform full procedure, then do the "before landing items and checks" And you have at least the base or dogleg time to go through it once again, prepare Go-Around and prepare landing with final items and checks. 3-5 minutes. With ENG fire even faster. Brief these things on departure briefings. Its so important because it ensure a significant improvement in workload distribution and SA. Both must have the same mental idea. Knowing these gates, and really getting them engraved into your dna is what makes a good pilot. Switching between in and out, waiting for someone to take responsibility is crap- The first 2 min in the emergency are really poor. But maybe it was a wakeup call to review procedures. I know military and airline flying is different but procedure wise must the airliner pilot be able to perform the same tasks and workload and not rely on the other pilot. Cheers.

I enabled auto-subtitles for English, but it left a lot to be desired. Only half of the pilots dialogue was translated, and whenever the ATC radio guy came on, it said "[Music]" and any time there was silence it said "[Applause]", lol.

The last thing you want is to enter into an emergency and a pilot whipps out a "Pilots Hand Book" the size of a bible! Not a good look my man... not a good look. Common sense should have kicked in and not going back to college, while your in the air with a plane full of passengers.
