As a Russian speaker, I can say that "Хоронить" (Khoronit) is probably the silliest possible name. Khoronit' in Russian means to bury someone. The name "Погребение" (Pogrebenie), which actually means bury, would be much more appropriate here.

Id imagine if the Permian Basin Superorganism were to wake up and leave the pit, it would take a massive portion of the pit itself with it. I also like to think the organism when asleep its size changes and shifts so it can hide underground easier without detection for centuries. When it wakes up, large portions of the beast transform, representing "limbs" however as much as it has enourmous muscles, it wouldnt hold itelf up for long, so it would instead use large tendrils (by large they would be dwafed in size with the limbs). The beast would use the tendrils to move, while pushing and dragging itself with its main limbs, which there would be many. The limbs would change in looks. Some would look similar to human arms, infact there are only 4 human arms on it, but the others would look more like a starfish. The Flesh pit probably has eyes, however they are diguised, all the while it would also have ears, so it can hear stuff moving and what else ears do So, to put it simply if the massive meat monster were to wake up, we are done for.

Soviet militarized explorers was very (i mean VERY) superstitious, they even use "hind most" (крайний) instead of "last" (последний), so the flight or dive doesn't turn out to be their last. For exploration vehicles they prefer some generic manes. So, i suggest it may be named "Глубина" (the Deep) or even "Гаруспик" (Haruspex).

This specific incident would make for a great sci-fi suspense movie or series. Something like Alien meets The Abyss
