Oh my! My previous comment was made before hearing the sermon fully. My prayer is to be fertile in sharing my faith with others. Pastor James Braaten confirmed me in 1962 at Chatfield Lutheran Church, MN., and his personal word to me was "You have something that will draw out faith in others". I never associated it with this parable of soil to be that message. After years of doing it on my own, 2 divorces, 4 kids, and 38 years of nursing I have finally picked up my yoke (2009) and have rededicated my life to living IN Jesus. Years ago God's Word was implanted in me, today His Word is blooming within me. I praise God for providing me life struggles in this preparation and bringing me back to His flock .... and I welcome the challenges of being His messenger. Sorry for over-posting.

Just today I (I'm 76) decided to follow your channel. What a blessing! The Apostle's Creed has been my prayer forever, just as I learned in my Catechism as a young Lutheran. God bless you for your message and for carrying on the Word of God. In a simple search on the internet for an audible Bible, I've managed to rekindle those "years ago" teachings in SE MN. I'm entering this New Year with a bucket load of hope to live and share that message. - Jesus IS my Lord and Savior, my Companion, my strength, my trust, and a small reward of living in His Glory Land.
