Take The Next Left
США
Добавлен 24 май 2021
Come along with Charlie and Christine as we Take The Next Left 'and go do stuff'. We have started documenting our adventures with video so we can remember them and it has now become our new hobby. We're pretty new at the whole video and RUclips thing so this should be fun to watch.
On this channel, you'll see all the fun stuff that is out there to do, from places and experiences, to food and drink. Most videos originate from the Pacific Northwest as that is where we live. We have an RV Trailer and 2 older daughters, 3 cats and a new puppy. This is going to get interesting.

Silver Cove RV Resort - 2024
Our 2nd video on Silver Cove RV Resort (link to the first one is below).
We ventured into downtown Castle Rock which is so cute - we found a new brewery - Ashtown Brewing, good beer and they have cider and hard seltzer too. Their main location is in Longview with more options. Check them out if you're in the area.
We also went to Mt. St. Helens Gifts, one of our favorite places to shop for bigfoot stuff!

Sun Outdoors - Bend, Oregon

Sun Outdoors didn't disappoint-it's a great park. It was formerly Crown Villa RV Resort, which has been there for over 30 years! This explains why you drive through residential neighborhoods before you get to the RV park. It was very quiet, and lots of trees made it feel like you were in a forest. #takethenextleft #sunoutdoors #bevelbeer #bevelcraftbrewing #spidercitybrewing #brasadaranch #gran...

Bar Run Golf & RV Resort

A must visit for all RV folks who like to splurge and enjoy a little downtime. It's got golf, a pool and the largest lazy river in Oregon. Nice big flat and level sites and many amenities. We really enjoyed this trip and will be back for certain. www.barrungolf.com
Circle Creek RV Resort - Seaside, Oregon 2024

Circle Creek RV Resort in Seaside, Oregon. Had a good time but had to cut it short due to so much rain and mud. Great park but would suggest visiting only when it's been dry and in the summer / early fall.
Mt. Hood RV Village 2024
Просмотров 5049 месяцев назад
First trip this year and it took 7 months to get our next video to you. Much too long and definitely not intentional. Life happens. This trip proved a bit frustrating as several things broke and even more frustrating is it was most likely our own fault - forgetting some steps while winterizing. Lessons have been learned. Even with the issues, we still enjoyed our second trip to Mt. Hood Village...

Taidnapam (TIDE-nah-pom) Park is a wonderful outdoor experience in Glenoma, Washington. Located along the shores of Riffe Lake, a reservoir formed by the Mossyrock Dam on the Cowlitz River. The park is managed by Tacoma Power and offers a variety of camping and recreational opportunities. Taidnapam Park offers different types of campsites, including standard tent sites, RV sites with full hooku...

First time visiting Fort Stevens State Park campground and it did not disappoint. Our friends Ray and Natalie joined us in campsites 13 and 17, both pull-throughs, in loop M. Battery Russell and the historical military displays at the visitor center were very cool to visit and the volunteers made it very educational and interesting. We will be back again.

You think that's a nice park?? You need to get out more. Fort Stevens is right up the road (just north of Seaside and before Astoria) and is 100% better.
We aim to keep our comments about the park only and its facilities. We love Fort Stevens and have stayed there several times (we have done a video on it). But it's especially difficult to compare a state park to a private one. Each RV park has its positives along with negatives. Thanks for watching!
Looks like i’m booking Site #25 😂-Thanks guys!
@@openyoureyes7144 thank you for watching. Enjoy your stay.
Great video! We're going this weekend and considering bringing our e-bikes. Are there any good bike trails connecting to the campground, or did you just ride around the grounds? Thanks!
I will say there are no actual bike trails but the park grounds are definitely large enough to take a nice ride. You can also ride down to the Salmon River from the lower loop. You will have to ride through the trees a bit but there is a trail and if your bike is equipped (mtn bike tires) you should make it through no problem. Have a great time and thanks for watching.
🎉 Congrats on 500+ subscribers! 🎉 Love your videos, please keep up the great work!
@@AL-eb9jx thanks for watching.
Always enjoy your travels...thank you for sharing
The pizza isn't very good.
Great video! Keep them coming.
@@timcross8987 thank you. Glad you enjoy our videos.
Spendy sites but a lot for the money. Fun watching, thanks for sharing this with us.
@@alan_whoneedstiedye thanks for watching.
What a fabulous experience! Love traveling with you...
@@bobohnstad153 thank you very much. Glad you enjoy.
Glad to see you are still repping the Cougs!,
Go Cougs!
Fifth wheel looks good. What truck are you planning to use?
@@puceater2311 we have a 2022 GMC AT4. It’s a one ton truck and pulls the trailer perfectly.
My name is Eric Law, and I work for Tube Pro. Mr Guido is one of my customers, and those are my tubes! This video really showcases the tubes well! Thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed. It’s a great spot and we had a lot of fun. Thanks for watching.
Hey can you fish those ponds there? That place looks like its gonna be awesome.
@@JanoyCresva the ponds are part of the rock quarry so we aren’t sure you can fish those. But the south Umpqua is right there too and you we watched folks fish there. Thanks for watching. And yes that park is awesome
Bar Run is a wonderful place, great golf course, great RV sites, really nice people.
@@xltek1 I couldn’t agree more. This is a must stay for sure. Thanks for watching.
We just recently booked a site here for August- heading to the valley from the coast! We’re pretty excited about our stay here and I do believe we have the same exact site! (or otherwise one on either side) Really appreciate the video 🙏
@@tonyseets enjoy your stay. You won’t be disappointed. Thanks for watching.
What an awesome adventure...thank you for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video. You two are a cute couple. So, we thought there were restrictions to those e-bikes in campgrounds. Does 1000 Trails allow but state/fed parks don't or are there restrictions and your e-bikes were under the limit?
It depends on the campground. We always look before we go. But so far we haven’t had an issues.
Well you started out smiling and making the best of it. As time went by, the rain changed the trip to, not minding cutting it off early. How do you address the rug being so wet? A new-to-you truck coming?
Yep, you gotta take it all in stride. As far as the rug we folded it up best we could, threw it in the back of the truck and then laid it out in our garage for a couple days. And you’ll learn a little more on our next video about Charlie’s new truck but essentially it’s a bigger truck that can tow more so we can upgrade to a fifth wheel hopefully within the next couple months. Thank you so much for watching
Just signed on your youtube site. Watching your trip to SunRiver/Bend and my eyes hurt. Your focus was bad as to be distracting. i wonder if with your new experience you could do a remake of this trip? Otherwise I am enjoying your family trips.
You are not wrong, we had a newer camera we tried out and unfortunately realized too late that some of the footage was a bit bumpy and therefore blurry plus the internal stabilizer was not activated. Lesson learned AND we are still learning. We will definitely be back to Sunriver and will do an updated video with hopefully no blurry footage. Thank you for watching.
Fun to have others to camp with. New subscriber here. We are in Tillamook
Welcome and yes, always fun to camp with friends and family. Thank you for subscribing and watching.
Thanks from Hillsboro for the great video! Your editing is excellent but your daughter needs her own mic for the next round of dad jokes! 😃
She is fun to travel with. I just got her a mic too. Thanks for watching.
great video, we are from Vancouver wa. and heading to circle creek Father's Day weekend
It’s a great spot. Thanks for watching
We stayed there about the same time last year in spot 9 and had the same experience with the rain. But we love the Oregon and Washington coasts and especially Seaside... can anyone say "Pigs and Pancakes"?
Gotta love Pig n’ Pancake, a staple for sure. Thank you for watching.
it's Oregon. What do you expect!!
Have @Wonderful New Year's!// thanks
We are from La Center and love all the recommendations on new places to camp next! Great video!
Glad you enjoyed. Lots of great places to camp in the NW. Thanks for watching.
How do you transport your e-bikes?
Right now we just put them inside the trailer. It’s a little tight in the back of the truck. We may add a bike rack to the trailer this year. Thanks for watching.
For those who wanted a to know what we used to fix the faucet, here is a link to the Amazon page for the cartridge replacement. Of course, it depends on your faucet type but I believe these are pretty standard. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GR762X5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
Thanks for watching. More fun coming this year.
Yes!! Been waiting for another one of your videos!! Tis the season!!
Honest unbias review.... as opposed to that from a RV dealership. This sort of content is not easy to find... 5 star review
Thank you for the feedback, that’s what we try and do on all of our videos. We’re also terrible liars so… Haha. Thank you for watching!
Great weekend, nice RV park and review. Thanks.
Love the fact you take your dog Piper along with you. The music is perfect and a wonderful part of watching it.
Thanks for letting me tag along….
Love love love the ponies!!
Love watching your videos, really fun to tag along this way!!!
Where is this? We want to come down from BC next summer.
This is Seal Rocks RV Cove south of Newport, Oregon. Site 20 is where we are. Hope this helps. So beautiful there, one of our favorite spots.
@@TakeTheNextLeft Thanks for the info!
We tried watching movies on that DVD player and it’s terrible. So we bought a cheap Blu-ray off Facebook marketplace and it’s way better! The TV is 1080P but the DVD player isn’t.
Sick spot!
Great video funny opening Ron and I have joked on exhausting hikes about if something happened if anyone would be suspicious. We love this campground we stayed here 2 years ago and hiked all around Mt Rainier it was very windy the trees moved ao much it was scary it was during all the fires too. That road would have made me nervous driving as well. Great job filming loved the music during the volleyball and fun! Also love the Tundra we have 2018 that we used to tow our trailer but when we decided to get a class A and tow a Jeep we had to also keep the Tundra. We subscribed and will be supporting you. We actually have had hardly any luck finding other PNW and local you tubers nice to be connected with you. Let's keep growing and meet up!
It’s been fun starting our channel and I think it would great to meet up sometime.
@justramblinaround. We just camped there last weekend. It really is an amazing camp ground. I can't wait to edit my video of that place. Take Care
@@brianbommarito5686 glad you like it there. Great spot for sure. Happy travels
How funny, we were just camping at Mayfield Lake last weekend. We also camped at a dispersed campground a few minutes before that campground a few years ago. Right on Swift lake. But never been to that place. Looks great though. We will definitely be trying that place soon.
It’s a great park. Very clean. Highly recommend
GO COUGS!!!!! My wife went to WSU. We are looking at the Cougar 23MLE which is a 5th wheel. We currently have an Escape 5.0 which is also a small 5th wheel but we need more space. Your cougar trailer is very nice which is similar to the 23MLE… enjoy your rig 👍🏻
Great video! Trina and I enjoyed it very much.
Thanks Rob. We loved it.
When you were in Battery Prat shell room on the right you would have seen a circle in the concrete wall. That circle was where the powder would have been passed from the powder room to the shell room. The powder room door would have been closed to keep anything from getting into the powder room and detonate the racks powder. You will also notice the hole is larger then a 6" powder bag. It was also the escape path incase the door was blocked from the outside. Outside you will notice the roof is the thickest above the magazine spaces. The area inside the structure was called the "galleries"..
Thank you for sharing. And thank you for watching.
Keystones have some real issues
We’ve been very lucky and haven’t had many issues. Thanks for watching
I loved all of the tunnels and bridges y’all passed through in the first part of the video. ❤ All of these places have great views! A nature lovers paradise!
It was difficult to choose what footage to include with so much beauty, the video would have been over an hour if i kept all of the beautiful bridges, tunnels, river and ocean views, etc. Thank you for watching!
Which site where you in? You mentioned site 46 but they have difference campsites with the same number.
I didn't realize that. Looks like the loop is called Vine Maple Hollow. Hope that helps.
what month were you there? We will be there for the first time in early June.
We were there in July of last year. It was record heat that weekend. Hope you enjoy the park. Thanks for watching.
Did you guys stick gum on the wall? We stopped by there last summer and it was covered with a lot of bees. We did stick gum on there but we pretty much flicked it on there so we didn't touch any of the existing stuff on there. Pretty gnarly giant petri dish.
I told Taylor to but she wanted nothing to do with it - she didn't get close to the wall at all.
@@TakeTheNextLeft lol Smart move.
It looks resort-ish!
It was nice. But could of used a fire to stay warm. Thanks for watching.
