Your excellent advice and tutorial solved all my issues installing my new Humminbird GPS Head Sensor for my Helix 9 Mega SI Gen 4 and Mercury 4-strole 90HP outboard motor (+ Minnkota i-pilot non-network and MK Head sensor puck) set-up. NICE... Everything works like a charm. Any speed I go with my outboard or trolling motor, I now know exactly where I'm navigating at all times. NOTE: Your info helped me find out that my sensor puck or sensor puck cable bundled in a loop next to the Mercury outboard motor main cables was the problem, despite the fact that using a compass in the garage looked good. Your video also brought me to understand how beneficial it is to display both COG and Head-up direction lines on your chart when navigating.You are so bang on with your video. Thanks!

I have a HELIX 9 MDI GPS G3N CHO. Do you happen to know which helix transducers are compatible with it? I have seen some on eBay.

Is the first cable a common cable? Or do you need a specific part number?

Skip all the change and just buy an angle finder. 4$ at harbor freight. It's much less aggravating.

The target isn't further away. it's actually closer. You need to subtract the black space "depth" your in from the distance. For example: if the target is 40 feet away on your unit and your in 10 feet of water. The target is actually 30 feet away.

I'm not understanding this concept. The level deal with the pocket change to get level I get. But how does that get your transducer level? I didn't see you putting penny's on the transducer or adjusting it with penny's or a the penny's.

Does this method help on a small 12-13 foot inflatable which is going to have its level affected by even small ocean chop or swell, any recommendations for small boats or is it not an issue for SI quality in your experience? I have a Helix8 G3N mega+.

Is this with the heading sensor installed or does it keep this accuracy without it?

i boght a hummingbird dimension 3/120 off ebay without doing some homework, unit works but came w/nothing other then unit, and after getting it and searching, i'm just a pleasure fisherman at best and like to find most economical solution for a transducer for this, i've been considering buying a non working eagle z900 and taking the transducer from it, but will i still get same results as the original

I finally got a Humminbird setup. Does anyone know if waypoints can be saved and viewed later on side imaging like they can with Mega 360? I have set waypoints using my side imaging but when I come back to fish them I only see them on my chart view and not on side imaging any longer. Please let me know. Thanks

See the Hs in accessory diag list but still using internal gps, I am not seeing the network tab. Did change to custom from angler. Helix 8 4pm. Latest software. I have no network equipment. Worked last year.

Will It matter if I use Canadian coins? They are allot lighter than American coins

Hi there, This is a good way to mount tranducers.I agree that you shall lift the tranducer a little bit in the back end, because when you drive the bout and the boat rice in front, the angle of the tranducer will be wrong. I always mount tranducers like that and it works very good her in Lofoten of Norway. Now i have mounted my new Garmin GT23M-TM and i will test it in february to april at deep saltwater fishing after big Cod (skrei).

I have a 360 and at 35-40 feet it will quit reading the bottom. Maybe that is the max depth it can read the bottom I don't see any adjustment for depth . I might be missing something not sure

My boat it's low in neutral in the back under speed I use the trim to bring the nose down. Now when I'm using your method scanning for fish 2 or 3 miles an hour do I want my trim all the way down to have the bow down in the water for me any other way with the trim my nose of the boat will stick up high at low speed
