This train game deserves a pit in the ground right next to that rectal E.T. Atari game. Both games are more work than pure fun. This train game should pay you to play it.

The later Sierra games from Dynamix seem to have no real issues running on modern Windows, including Windows 11. Older titles do need some patches, but I've managed to get the ones I own up and running at least. With 3D Ultra Lionel TrainTown Deluxe, the only issue I've had is the graphical glitch in the menu prompt when quitting the game, but nothing game breaking. I still need to use the CD or an ISO file or BIN/CUE files to run these games, unless there are no CD cracks or patches out there that address the problem. 3D Ultra RC Racers Deluxe would be an issue, since it uses CD audio, instead of digitized sound like most of the ones from the late 90s and early 2000s.

I played this game a lot, and I liked to find bugs. There's a simple one where you can select a locked job, but instead of clicking "Next", you click on a different job bin, then click "Next". That'll allow you into the locked job. Another one you do is place a car so that it straddles the button on the turntable. If the car is long enough and placed correctly, you can activate the turntable when the car isn't fully on it. That stretches out the car and causes it to go invisible. The wheels will still be visible, but the ones that were on the turntable will go in the opposite direction as the ones that were not. It works with the hopper in the tutorial job. There's no use to this, but it's funny. There's a more useful one where you can control a train by clicking on it on the map. That might be an intended feature, but you can do that to control trains you're not supposed to. You can stop all the commuter trains in the Dodge Ball job, you can take over the passenger liner in that Whistle Blower job in the North Pole, then drive it off the map and forget about it.

First remember the the part of the tutorial with the yellow diesel with the tank cars. I first thought it was a boy's voice instead of a girls voice I was listening to for the Caboose Washer job, and every other job in the same place; I can't tell if that's suppose to be the living room, the family room, or the play room. Planet X is being invaded. and the queen needs to be delivered safely to her fortress job, is the queen suppose to be an alien or human queen on a different planet? That Caboose Washer looks hard to complete. Looks with a circles tent, on every job it appears in.

Darn UFOs, destroying tracks. I enjoy the crane putting up track to replace the tracks that were destroyed from the UFOs.
