I also find it convenient that none of Misty's and none of Brock's Pokemon never got lost in someway. Could you imagine how funny it would have been if Pikachu was instead hanging out with Starmie and Staryu and they'll go all "COOL!" AND "HYAH!" all the time?

This was my favorite episode back when I was a little kid. The way these Pokémon were characterized was great, and it was just a really fun time-especially with the final chase scene.

The bizarreness of early Pokémon is why Indigo League is my favourite, it truly is a silly, goofy time 😂

I'm here from your Reddit post. I know I'm hooked on an anime when I pretty much watch every review video on said anime, and yours is the newest one to see! Full disclosure, I watched all three seasons and then binged all the manga up-to-date (Don't worry, I won't spoil). Yeah, I remember hunting for a new anime to watch because I am a nerd like that. I remember browsing through the titles and seeing this one. I read the small description of the show, which intrigued me and then watched the trailer. I said "Fuck it, looks interesting. I'm in." From the get-go, one episode becomes two. Two becomes three. Next thing you know, I turn into *"I DON'T NEED SLEEP, I NEED ANSWERS!!!"* Needless to say, the show hooked me in, and I'm considering looking for good merchandise. (Been looking for Iruma's ring, hard to find a good and affordable buy that fits my actual finger). All this to say, season 1 was a blast. The best scene I loved in this season for me was watching Kirio literally *TELL* Iruma what he needs to break his barrier - only for Iruma to *smile* like "Hey, thanks for the tip!" Switch of the ring, and Iruma's spell breaks the glass, and Kirio seems himself in despair through one of the broken shards of his barrier (quick side-note, the soundtrack song for that scene was awesome!). And the cliffhanger of seeing a *different* Iruma had my jaw drop. Oh, boy, I can't remember how fast I wanted to watch season 2! The show is great, the characters are memorable, the plot is juicy, the arcs are fascinating, the wholesome feel-good aftertaste is delectable, and Nishi gives you *juuuuuuust* enough lore to feel like you are being cock-teased in a strip club and you're all out of cash!

I'm not sure where you've gotten in the manga, but the Volume 23 Sukima/Extra Chapter has a segment that makes nonbinary Opera canon. Iruma asks what gender they are and Opera just says "What do you think?" "Alright, let's go with that." 😂

I saw that boy Iruma rizz up a redheaded student council girl double his height by being himself, and that solidified him as one of my favorite MCs.

James, voiced by José Antonio Macías really went wild with the Team Rocket's motto sometimes ("to extend our realm to Zacatlán de las Manzanas" for the Pichu and apples episode, or "to Buenavista, Buenavista, Buenavista!" at the circus episode. Google those places if you wanna know more =P) or when he referenced himself as "El Guajolote Macías" when a horoscope zine tells him his spiritual Pokémon is Moltres. And I surely mentioned this before but how about Meowth and Hunter J mentioning FRIKKIN' DIGIMON! =P
