Black Creatives Aotearoa - interview series - Trailer
Hi. I hope this gets noticed... I am planning to pursue a teaching career in NZ and planto bring my family there. Its just that my second son is in the spectrum: delayed speech and ADHD. Is there support from the NZ government? Or at least give me an idea how much would it cost. Thank you so much.
wonder if this was the Sarah Walker behind PCem
Ben de bunu merak ediyorum.
Don't mean no disrespect but what's "ia"?
Thankyou for your korero. I am a survivor of complex trauma , sexual emotional and also physical . From a very young age . I was never believed I didn’t even trust my own pain or thoughts and the actions of the police actually traumatised me over and over I asked for help so many times . I never gave up and I’ve been a solo mum for 18 years now . I am now fighting to keep my sister safe she is isolated innorthland her husband he has assaulted us both infront of my newhews and I know 100% that she wants him to be gone so she can start to build her life again but she is in so much fear that he will kill her or her children . As he has threatened many times I am trying every avenue I can think of and really im terrified nothing is going to be done until it’s too late . I’m terrified he will kill her and the kids he’s completely unhinged . Thankyou I will not stop until I know they are ok . It’s been nearly 3 months since I spoke to my sister or my very young newhews whom im very close with . She has no phone and I’m certain she is missing her family . We miss her and are very worried . He has already killed two of her dogs I know how she is feeling I can feel it from 100km away she has completely shut down into surviving each and every moment as it comes . Again Thankyou . Ps I just want to add you are amazing and Thankyou for your work ❤️ My two big teenage boys and I have got through the other side of the abuse and are now safe … I still live in fear im learning how to self regulate when I dissociate but I don’t think that will ever leave . But that’s ok it’s all got it’s place in my life for a bigger purpose And you have definitely encouraged me to keep at it in any way I can Nga mihi ❤❤❤
Ok Groomer
Just found this thank you for sharing these stories!
Great
Shaneel Lal, Maybe you should stand against the so called conversion of men to women, and women to men with the transgender ideology causing harm to you young queer people. Gender reassignment from a man to a woman is actually sex reassignment, trying to change a persons sex to suit a gender stereotype identification. Maybe you should concentrate on reassigning the gender stereotype, to a gender stereotype that actual reflects the variation that men are. Not trying to make them a woman or female that is not acceptable to most logically thinking New Zealanders.
Wtff 😂
Thank you. This is awesome.
every single person would benefit from watching this video
🥹🤗❤️
I love this ❤️❤️❤️🙏
This is fucking spam. I searched the road code.
I know a perfectly normal 2 year old child who went to get his MMR shot. Walked in completely normal. Was carried out screeching, continued screeching for 10 hours, eventually fell asleep. Woke in the morning hitting his head on his bed, walked on his tip toes and did not utter another word for 7 years. Diagnosed with Autism. I don’t care what any human being said. No body under my watch will EVER receive another vaccination. Shame on you for not discussing it. AUTISM IS NOT GENETIC. Cheers.
The person at the supermarket was rude as. Autism or not you can’t expect everyone to know what’s going on.
Beautiful
Love this
Ah so glad you enjoyed it :) Their stories are truly wonderful!
Herpes is a common infection or condition, affecting about 1 in 4 American adults, Hsv 1 & Hsv 2 are the common types of Herpes virus and if untreated, they can get unbearable and cause severe medical issues, I'm so glad I'm over herpes and its stigma. all thanks to Dr. Aloha ruclips.net/channel/UC_YFEEZEr1BxGkNg1d4vqww🍀 🍵 🌼
Thanks 🙏🏽
Some cool people here!
I know right! It's awesome to see them all together like that <3
Love this! Thank you for sharing your experiences.
Well done on putting this together Elina. Such rich and important insights.
Thank you Bella, glad you enjoyed it - I feel like those stories should be heard by everyone in NZ <3
Loooove love love this!
Yay it was so lovely to see you in person for the screening!
Absolutely loved this 🤩
Woohoo! Happy you enjoyed it, aren't they all freaking cool?
Powerful. Love this. Thank you.
Ah so glad you liked it Sarah! Such a powerful watch and such vulnerable stories, we are really happy we got to share them with the wider world!
Thank you for creating this. It has given me more insight into the spectrum of autism, and how we should not be quick to judge. This has touched me deeply. I appreciate the sharing and stories of each one of the speakers.
Yay that's so awesome to hear Lilia! This was exactly the intent of this mini-doco - to educate, touch deeply, celebrate stories ❤️
So much respect to you when i watched your videos 😎
Hi 😎🤙
Ka pai! Would love to have my son attend your school in the near future
That's so great to hear! You should totally find them online now too - Tamara is super active on social media and has a website www.xabilities.com/ :)
ATAAHUA!!
❤️❤️❤️

It was amazing collaborating with you on this project Tamara! So stoked with all the connections made!
This woman is very bitter and jealous ! I messaged her to help me with advice on how to gain a following on my onlyfans and she blocked me ! I spoke about it on tiktok ! She is quick to try and imitate a black woman with the dreads, twerking and bonnets, but yet she was very jealous by the thought of a actual black woman making money on onlyfans ! She's really jealous ! Her energy is just gross and hateful !
this video was so great - often from the outside you only see the success and not all the hard work that goes into making them success
Yes! That's definitely what our mission is all about - to show all the ups and downs and in-betweens of human experiences ❤
I love this so much, you're all so inspiring! Thank you Storyo for producing this <3
Yay so glad it resonated!
🙌 nevertheless ♡︎
Aren't they freaking bad-ass?! 😍
I love how humble all of these people are, and their frank acknowledgements of areas of privilege even when they are working so hard at their respective pursuits! One bit that particularly resonated with me was Deanna's approach of looking at the various things she was interested in, and giving them all a go. As someone who really struggles with choosing _one_ passion, _one_ area of focus, that was really encouraging! Also LOVE all the role models that these people mentioned - just goes to show that it's the ordinary people, the mums and grandmas and supportive partners and friends, whose stories fuel _these_ stories!
sending support done ✔
Congrats to all of you ladies founder
I mean I love it it all, but the best part for me was the overnight celebrity. Most people even including myself at one point just wants that quick result and instant satisfaction when it's all about the long game and the outcome and all the drive and work that comes along the way
I reasonated with Deanna from Moustache and her childhood story. We didnt have much growing up either so mum would always bake or cook similar foods like the takeouts and bakery to ensure we didnt miss out x
So good
This is so inspiring as someone who wants to get my own business fully fledged and running its awesome to have a lot of burning questions answered.
Woo so glad that it was valuable! We have Part 2 coming out soon too because I just couldn't figure out how to get all that wonderful stuff into one video hehe
Shout out host
“Don’t stress out if it doesn’t work out” - Deanna 💙
Lesson that we need to learn every day, ay?
THIS VIDEO IS VERY GOOD
👍👍👍❤🤝❤❤❤🌹🤲🤲
I resonate with Shaq and Maia the most, as a mama who has suffered from postnatal depression and found it hard to open up and seek help for my struggle and to just love myself was hard. It is truly amazing to see such a safe platform created not only for everyone but especially for Pacifika and Māori people as it’s usually deemed as a weakness for us. beautiful mahi ❤️
Tēnā koe Denzel, love your whakaaro. Love your strength and Ataahua insights. Here to acknowledge your insights. Kia māia, nevertheless. 💜💜💜
Awesome stuff! I totally resonated with Lauren about how she didn't know what she wanted to be when she was younger, and was jealous of others who knew. It was so hard as a high school student filling out career forms, having no idea what career to choose.
You know I interviewed people who are 50 and who are 16 and that feeling of "not know what you want to do" is so consistent! People just get more used to it and more comfortable with it :)
Loved how Deanna busted the overnight success myth!
