Incredible from where Villa had come from I'm a Liverpool fan and have watched this team on the other side from the going from the likes of Gabby Agbonlahor, Emile Heskey, Ashley Young to a squad in 2024 that is full of talent with brimming confidence and you lots even had to sell Douglas Luiz even if he was still in the squad. You Villains deserve every bit of success you are getting now.

I agree with you guys on Bailey’s defensive performance, even winning headers in the penalty box. I also noticed that he started to use his strength in attacking areas which is new and will serve him and Villa well if he keeps that up too 💜💙

The USA tour was good for minutes. Thou several players didn't get great minutes or absent. Football wise, not a lot on show. Need more minutes, Need to see Watkins and Konsa come in ( plus others), to then allow Emery to get more info. Ref wasn't poor to send Carlos off, Carlos in a friendly shouldn't of reacted as he did. Tielemans, may play in Luiz's spot, but way more benifical to play him more forward. Onana, thou I feel would play the defence cover role and allow Tielemans to advance more. No battle on who is no 2 keeper at present, if Olsen is there it's him. Guchi hasn't been seen enough, the one save he made in the 3-2 win, any keeper should make. Thou his passing has looked to have improved. Interesting to see if Emery utilises Jnr and how. Also, I am interested to see if we bring in anyone at RCB. Our defence last season wasn't great, Carlos didn't obtain the greatest stats and Pau is just not a strong defender currently, but he plays bcus of his excellent passing out. If Carlos does move, I'm sure the club will look for agility and defensive strength. Archer, subject to who else we could bring in and if Duran stays or not. The Duran case, is owned of course by the Gaffer, if Duran stays and wears the shirt, we support the shirt. Dortmund game is good for us, great club planning. Like to see with konsa in at RCB and Onana dropping back into our line as well. Watkins or Duran up top, Buendia and Rogers rotating in as 10's.

50/50 on Felix. His ceiling is high, but has failed to consistently reach top levels, massive wage demands likely, but in Unai we trust. If Unai wants him then he's more likely to be a star than another Coutinho. Williams or Alvarez would be dream signings!

Concerning Diaby going. It sucks, but if you look at it like we couldnt turn the money down, im just glad its not Dibu or our boy Ramsey. So its like the lesser of a few evils

Diaby being loaned to newcastle in january is very funny. Im sure clubs that own two clubs arent allowed to loan to eachother, but maybe saudi clubs arent governed by those rules?😮 😮

Villa didn't release Phil or Archer. Contracts are clear in the intent and purpose of them. Phil's return personal terms, understand before the move. Experience and PSR, solely. 35:31 Archer gained perfectly, pressure off him to just play against quality defenders. If you cannot offer game time, then you focus on the whys. We have to remember both players under SG, had zero chance, Emery came in and effective everyone positively. Archer may well move, but at villa he's currently Infront of Duran. Duran needs moving on. Phil didn't choose to come back.... Hull didn't have the right to sell him unless villa agreed. Villa box seat holding the steering wheel, didn't let go. Excellent contract management, excellent. Diaby, player wants the move. I think starting on the bench often, he didn't see coming and didn't like it. Thou, I feel he could of had a great season for villa if he could accept he needs to be more consistent and maybe a more positive approach, not that his ability isn't there. If he's agreed personal terms, then the only focus is his sell price. Zero emotional rubbish needed. Getting funds in, is vastly more positive then having a unsettled player. Rogers and Tielemans are the two who potentially right now utilise Diabys position. You don't play JJ on the right, And Buendia needs time. Luiz, hopefully has been replaced well, hope we do finalise the deal over the weekend. Work on his consistency and get him in our line for set pieces against, he has box to box ability, good buy if not potentially better then Luiz. Potential for Dendonkey to move on, clearing the deck, a great focus on the club's progressive needs. Chamber gone is good, stayed purely due to his wages. Had the chance to leave and rejected it for more cash and no football. Any additional incomings is going to be I feel very selective. Our assistance, support and management of JJ returning is vital, JJ has the ability to really provide and to enable Emery to have options, strengthens options in the potential 10 position with Tielemans or Rogers. If we successfully get Kamara and JJ back, there's something that stands out to me, "Where does McGinn play or get utilised". There is now vastly better competition within the squad. If not also, confusion within our left back players, surely we need to sell a few.

Reckon we don't need to Replace Diaby. Rogers could be our 10. Has all the attributes. Spend that money elsewhere

A few stand outs..Barclay is going to be a stand out for me..very strong/stands up well and has a presence..I think uani will get the best out of him. The new Argentinan bloke looks fantastic. Went to villa park..had to blag my way in telling them telling them I had come all the way from Australia, to get in..there are thousands of workmen there redeveloping the ground..believe it or not the pitch has been resurfaced. Awesome at Walsall last night..I must admit the atmosphere got me and shed a few tears..absolutely loved it.. had a balti after. Even the kit we played in last night looked fantastic.if that's anything to go by we're going to get a cracker this season. Aussie in goals last night..looked good . Rogers up front looked great very strong..got 2.. Cash looked super fit and digne. Torres just rules the defence hes absolutely world class. Off to the training ground trying to blag my way in...they don't let you in anymore.. I'm telling you lads..were packed with class in all areas..big things are going to happen this season.. One thing I also noticed last night..the players are nothing like we see on optus.. Digne is about 4 foot tall.. Cash is stocky You wouldn't want to mess with Rogers diago or Barclay.
